What converter will work?

Harp00nX:

I have loads of ntsc games and they all work fine with the adapters i mentioned in the first post. This is the only game i have that does not work correctly. Stuff like Gradius 3 (no pal release), Mystical Ninja, Megaman X and Rock N Roll Racing all work perfectly and they are ntsc but they are older games, while SSF2 is from later in the snes life. I know the likes of Mario RPG cannot be run with an adaptor either.

Arseen:

Just buy US SNES as a second console and modify it to run JAP games as well.
Mod is easy just look into the cart port, see those two tabs/pegs? Good just remove them and the mod is done.
You can do that without opening the SNES wqith small enough end cutters.

but US snes is U.G.L.Y.  >:(

Yeah but to do do the mod to JAP SNES would mean making the cart slot bigger, and then the flap would not cover in complely.

But of course there is the SNES 2:

Not too bad looking.

KaiserWAVE:

What version of the Action Replay are you using. Before I modded my SNES I also used the Action Replay to play import games. I used the Action Replay Pro Mark III, which was the last version they released for SNES. I also have SSF II imported, it's the Japanese version though. But it worked. Unless you're already using the Action Replay Pro Mark III or they used different chips for the region lock or some other black magic, I'd say check eBay if you can find one.

Even some older games have problems. Like Final Fantasy III. It runs via convertor on a PAL SNES but it won't let you save. Try to beat this game in one sitting or leave your SNES running... ;)
