Hey all,

Been doing some cover printing of my own recently after being inspired by all the work here. Specifically i've been putting my girlfriend's gameboy collection into cassette cases. Looks fantastic now and fits nicely with her massive tape collection as well haha.

Anyway, i've been trying to suss out some Universal Game Cases for my SNES and N64 collection and seems like sources are scarce. Just curious to see if anyone from Oz has acquired these before or if anyone knows the best way to go about it.

Cheers!

Hey mate, im in new zealand, shipping to nz of a box of 100 would cost like $220NZD all up including shipping, ill assume aussie wont be too different, if you only looking for a couple i got a few from www.racketboy.com they cost a bit more but you can buy them individually, unfortunatly it seems everyone is out of stock of UGC atm, so itll give ya time to save money for them :P

noclass_nick: Thanks for the heads up mate, yeah the postage is a nightmare! I was trying to order some DS cases from the US too and ran into the same issue. Ended up using cassette cases.

Arseem: How do the double wide DVD cases go with holding the carts and manuals nicely? Do you do any additional modifications etc?

Usually no additional modification, I just remove inner trays.
Only if manual is thick I remove the disc holding clips from the back and front as well.
Carts sit loose in there, if you want them to stay in place just sandwich them with foam.
For SNES & N64 manuals buy cases with manual holding clips. For NEs games put the cart and manual in the black cart sleeve that used to come with the games and then put them in to the case.

So something like this would work fine?

I'll pick some up and have a go with some templates. Are the UGC templates the same size as VHS templates or double wide DVD templates? Having trouble finding exact dimensions.

I'm also considering VHS cases, they don't have all that messy disc stuff in them that the DVD cases do. Of course finding a decent supply of them is a bit rough these days. UGC cases just seem less and less likely considering the astronomical postage costs to Australia.

VHS are around 260mm by 195mm (so a little larger). I started do a few covers with VHS and double wide DVD covers but for some reason I ended canning it. I started getting annoyed at resizing covers. DS cases I'm able to get through my local Gametraders.

Looks like i'm going to have to go with the double wide DVD cases anyway, can't find a decent website to buy VHS cases off either! This country! Haha.

I'm going to stick with the cassette tape cases for the Gameboy stuff, don't have any of the manuals so the extra room a DS case uses would be largely wasted.

UGC covers fit near pefectly to double wide DVD cases.
I don'yt modify them at all I just leave 5mm white stripe to the bottom, but that's not absolutely needed.
