I've decided to get an inkjet Epson Workforce 840.  The reviews on it say that it is pretty much as awesome as you can get right now.

Wireless printing, text/black printing that rivals laser jets... and a huge LED screen on the front with memory card slots.

Plus I believe I read you can put almost any size of paper in it as long as it is 8.5" wide and up to 44" long.

Plus it prints on both sides of the paper, so maybe I can finally start doing manuals now...

It just has too many bells and whistles on it to not get it.

The ink doesn't seem to be THAT expensive at this time... but we'll see how fast I can go through it.

If you go for a EPSON read this first:

Only applicable if you speak german.

I think you may have been trying to be a little sarcastic and if you were that is fine and it's a very funny page.

There is also a review of it on Youtube somewhere that a guy replaced two laser printers with it, but I couldn't find a link before heading off to work....  I will look for the link later.

It is a quite funny Ebay auction about a guy and his obviously negative experiences with an EPSON printer.

So it was more a warning than sarcasm. Epson printers often get rave reviews but if you look through different forums were user review the hardware it doesn't look as good.

i used to constantly have problems with my epson inkjets - wasting ink on nozzle cleaning time and time again.  have not had a single problem since moving to canon.

The printer itself seems to be getting very good user reviews on Amazon and Newegg.  The only really bad complaints that I have seen so far are some people have problems getting the wireless to work correctly.

And in regards to Canon... I work in the claims area of a Walmart and we get back about 3 Canon printers to every HP we get back.  We don't sell Epson so I can't comment on that.  I also realize that a lot of people who would be buying their printer from Walmart in the first place probably wouldn't be a good source group to base opinions on.

I already purchased the Epson, so if it works great then fantastic, but if it gives me any problems at all within the warranty period I will be getting a different printer.

I had to come out of my little hole to voice my option :)I bought an Epson Artisan 810 printer well over a year ago and a CISS ink system from http://rihac.com.au/ and I've been amazed about how long the ink has lasted. I've printed over 600 4x6 photos and at the very least 500 different game covers (not counting the misprints) and have just used about half the ink that came with my system. I think I paid $130 for the system and with the 810 taking 6 different colors I would have paid paid that in about 1 or 2 replacement sets alone. I wouldn't have been afford to print everything I have without a CISS and I really cant say enough good things about them.
