I have a good question, I'm getting my paycheck soon, bout' 80 bucks in spending money after my bills are paid, and I was thinking about saving up for a 3DS.
Do you guys think I should save up for the 3DS or snatch up as much GameCube and PlayStation 2 games as possible?

I just bought my 3DS and I haven't even bought any 3DS games for it yet. You might as well wait unless you're dying to play any of the games currently out or plan on using Streetpass a lot.

Well I just got a PS2 and there are tons of games I don't have for it, and there are Still a bunch of GameCube games I don't have as well.
Is the 3DS worth the cash through? 170$ is a hefty price tag.

Not really honestly. I'm still trying to hunt down all the PS2 games I want, and there's still a lot of GameCube games I missed out on. Most are pretty cheap these days. Look for some multi-game lots on eBay and get your money's worth.

My Gamestop in town will no longer receive PS2 games with lots of scratches, without the original case or books intact, In fact they let you check out the discs before purchasing them. All the Games they had before with bad scratches were dumped along with over a dozen DS Lites cause of badly scratched screens should of bought screen protectors. game without original cases are on the bottom shelves now So the top shelves won't look dumpy. They still sell Gamecube games and GBA.

I have three GameStops in my area. Two told me they had gotten rid of their DS cases a long time ago, and the other one told me that they had just taken them out to the dumpster. After I left the building, I walked around to the dumpster and investigated. I didn't see them at a glance, but I knew they were in there. It was broad daylight, and there were people that could see me. I ended up deciding to come back when fewer people were around to nab the cases, only to find the dumpster empty when I returned. I'm pretty disheartened about it.

It's one thing with the normal disk-cases. Anyone can go to Wal-Mart and buy a box of the things, but these are exclusive to the DS, and can only be ordered from Nintendo (That I know of.) The fact that GameStop is literally just hurling them into the garbage is unbelievable, and disgusting. What a huge waste! One might think they could throw them in a box with "$0.50 a piece or $5 for box" written on it and probably made a small profit. I'd have been happy to buy them.

Shit, blockbuster in my area did that when they were closing and I spent $20 and got a sweet stack of 200 cases. Sadly some were PSP instead of DVD. Gamestop could do the same thing easily. But I think nintendo would get a tad bit pissy. But hell, they may be getting in trouble with the OnLive shit they are doing, so why not go a full 9.
