The internal battery on my Pokemon Sapphire has died. :(

So he would have to change the battery with a bypass energy source to not loose everything.

Could be a bit tricky but manageable!

Gone already probably, unless there is minimally energy in the battery.
Does the game save still work?

Gamesave should still work but like it says, time events wont.

If battery is already dead, how replacing it would do any more harm?
And how does Sapphire save game data? Though it was battery aswell, so how is the save data is still there if battery is dead?

Could be that it saves on flashrom. Or the battery is not dead but low on power so everything could be saved.

Technology my good friend. From my understanding none of the gba versions of the game and crystal require the battery to save.

Good! I hoped that.
So Save data is safe for my games aswell. What a relief.
