Right now I am going through my collection and scanning N64 game cartridge scans. I am only scanning cartridge labels that are in mint condition with no fade or writing on the label. All scans are raw, 600 dpi, and NTSC. I am too busy trying to scan everything right now to fix them, so they need to be cleaned up and cropped. Thanks!

  • ...and that's the bottom line
You can grab the cart label from the scan. After that you can print it with a label machine and replace damaged cart labels if you have any.

I think label scans are a very nice addition to our collection.... like disc scans for printable discs....
I don't have a label machine but a printer and some printable labels for wine bottles! :)

You know I got more than a few games with destroyed labels for cheap.... :)

Example Donkey Kong Country SNES label destroyed 1 Euro.... Pop'n'Twinbee label destroyed 1 Euro....

Now if I just could find a label for pop'n'twinbee somewhere....
2 + 3 = 23

Thanks TheValeman!

I would like to start scanning SNES and NES carts too, but there label is two sided and connected to the top. To create a SNES or NES label we would have to combine two scans together (the front of the cart and the top of the cart).

A lot of used games today have torn game labels for some stupid reason, so being able to replace damaged labels from a rare game is great!

All 4tygames carts have been uploaded along with a heap of others submitted by Nevi-G and W.Ford. Still a few to go .... but I'm onto it.

I also need to evaluate my N64 collection and add any that I have acquired recently that may not have yet been scanned.

Nevi-Gs Taz Express was an absolute bastard. One side was missing and a heap of damage across the whole thing. I cleaned up as much as I could and substitued the Nintendo and Warner Bros logo's from other sources so purists will cry foul .... go figure .... but it may help someone until we find a better cart.
