I think we should try to get black cases, and if we can show media shelving there is a demand for them, we could get them, they did have them once. --- End quote --- Just use primer before you paint, it'll bond to the plastic better. --- End quote --- Yeah but the primer is whats gonna end up beeing seen through the plastic from the outside isnt it? Unless you uses black primer, but in that case there would be no need to paint it anymore. |

Or you can get this stuff called "adhesion Promoter" which is a clear primer for plastic. |

Lol I don't think painting a ugc black or any other color would be realistic. And just to avoid head aches, "clear coat" is not a primer. Its a clear coat or a "sealer" so to say to protect the paint from oils and other annoyances. "Adhesion promoter" is definitely not a clear coat its used before you prime/paint. Also adding these chemicals might warp the ugc itself. But if you must paint and are insistent get a can of "Krylon : Fusion" paint made specifically to bond with plastics with no sanding or priming required. |

I'll let you guys know when I get a reply. Edit: --- Quote ---You're the first inquiry that I've received regarding this item since it was discontinued so I doubt that they'd considering bringing them back, sorry. Someone would have to order a container load to make them worth while to produce (which would mean thousands of them I am sure). Thank you, Diane Reddick Customer Service sales@mediashelving.com http://www.mediashelving.com --- End quote --- So it looks pretty grim, unless a wealthier user here would be willing to buy an entire container's worth and sell them to the rest of us. |

Hmmm Taking Donations, give me $1000, and I will order an entire container of Black UGCs. |
