Also, I've finished going through and auditing all of my manuals, and here are the ones with "issues":

Heir of Zendor
Iron Man/X-O Man-O-War: Heavy Metal
NFL Quarterback Club '96
Olympic Soccer
Pandemonium
Shining Force III
Steep Slope Sliders

My replacement Shining Force III and Iron Man manuals came in over the weekend, as did my replacement for my sealed copy of Heir of Zendor.  I've updated ratigators.com with the link to the Shining Force III scans, and I'll get the others in the queue.

That just leaves two more sealed games awaiting replacement, one with ink marks, and one with minor art damage, that all will also eventually get replaced.  I've also started picking up replacements for my sealed Sega Dreamcast games in preparation for that scan project.

Also, not that anyone has asked (though, I was curious myself), counting what's been done and what's left, the grand total is going to be right at or around 3250 scans for Sega Saturn.  I'm hoping my scanner survives the rest of the systems I'll be working my way through.

Another random bit of trivia, one of today's manuals is Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire, which at least as far as USA manuals are concerned, is the longest Sega Saturn manual coming in at 56 pages.

Actua ice hockey EU on the PS1 comes in at 180 pages - only the 1st 20 are in English.  Wonder how many pages the EU version of this is?

According to Satakore, there was never a EUR release:

http://www.satakore.com/sega-saturn-game,,T-7601H,,Romance-of-the-Three-Kingdoms-IV-Wall-of-Fire-USA.html

Under "Alt" versions, it lists 3 JAP releases (standard and a few best of), 2 CHI releases and one KOR release.

Perhaps the reason for the lack of the EUR release was due to issues printing the manual :)

Wow, I thought the Dragon Force Manual was thick but I can't imagine this game then.  Does it even fit under those clips in the longbox without bulging like crazy?

They probably had to use a lower-weight paper.  Dragonforce manual was printed on heavier paper IIRC.

Well, Sega Saturn game cases are huge, and there's probably at least 1/4" space between the clips for a manual to fit in, so there's no real problem, unlike trying to cram a 46 page manual in a standard CD jewel case (I'm looking at you, Worms Armageddon for Sega Dreamcast).  That's why the original foam inserts are so important, not only to keep a disc from coming loose, but to also keep the manuals from sagging in the case.

Exactly right.  Even though the Dragon Force manual is fewer pages, the Working Designs manuals were always printed on much heavier stock paper, so at the end of the day, the Dragon Force and Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV manual are just about the same thickness.

Just picked up a replacement Steep Slope Sliders, so once it comes in, I'll replace that manual scan.  Still haven't picked up an unsealed copy of Olympic Soccer, so I'll miss my schedule on that one, but once I do, I'll come back around just like I did with Shining Force III.

I also haven't replaced Pandemonium yet either, so on Monday, you'll get to see how someone got creative in writing down level codes :)

One last thing, I've got everything setup for Halloween, so come Monday, I'll have to see if I can rename the thread ;)

Happy Halloween guys/girls!

Today, I'm kicking off my Dreamcast scan project.  To keep with the theme of the day, I started with all "horror" themed games (survival horror, zombies, vampires, and all that good stuff :)).  Tomorrow will resume the regularly scheduled program with one from each end of the alphabet.

Also, if you scroll down even further, you'll notice a few choice Sega CD scans as well that I prioritized :D

No Olympic Soccer scans today, my only copy is still sealed.  I'll get the manual scanned in once a replacement arrives.  Though, enjoy In the Hunt, and the two Dreamcast games of the day.

This is, by far, one of the most helpful threads on the entire site.  I am very, very thankful to you for doing all of this work for us!  My Saturn collection is pretty small (currently at 8 games) but thanks to you, I have manuals for all of them, to go with the custom cases I've printed.  When I get some of them printed out and stapled together, I'll post some pics for the rest of the community.  Looks like it's time to stock up on ink again ^_^

Oops, i spoke too soon - I still need to wait a few more days for the Marvel Super Heroes scan to come up, *then* I'll have a complete set of manual scans.  How exciting!

No Olympic Soccer scans today, my only copy is still sealed.  I'll get the manual scanned in once a replacement arrives.  Though, enjoy In the Hunt, and the two Dreamcast games of the day.

My spare copy of Olympic Soccer arrived earlier this week, and I was able to get it scanned in and uploaded here this morning (which is one of the many Saturn games to advertise an unreleased game on the back of the manual), so that fills the only gap in my Sega Saturn project (other than the Daytona USA Netlink Supplement manual, though, both the Sega Rally and Virtual On Netlink Supplement manuals are both already scanned and uploaded).

I also scanned in my replacement for Steep Slope Sliders, so if you had downloaded the previous scans (which included some artwork damage on a few pages), you can trash those and download these new ones.

The only other scan in my list pending replacement is Pandemonium (due to the level codes written in the manual), so if you've noticed an error or a missing page from another game, please let me know, because I'm not aware of it.

I'm glad I could share.  As I mentioned in my "Game Room(s)" thread, the purpose of my collections are to share.  Family and friends all borrow games, though, they leave the house with discs in spare jewel cases (easier to find spare discs than complete cases with all of the inserts), so I thought this would be a great way to share all of the manuals, locally and globally.  As I mentioned in my first post, these are all RAW scans, cropped identical to one another, so if a manual was slightly smaller (I went with the largest size when cropping), and you planned on printing, you may have to do some minor amount of "clean up" work.  I'd love to see some "after" pics if you get a chance to post them.

Oops, i spoke too soon - I still need to wait a few more days for the Marvel Super Heroes scan to come up, *then* I'll have a complete set of manual scans.  How exciting!

I'm a reasonable person, and given the fact that you are one of the few to actually mention that you'll be using the scans for an actual replacement (like BadChad and his Panzer Dragoon titles), I've gone ahead and uploaded and linked Marvel Super Heroes a few days early.

Oh, that is great news - thank you for uploading it early!  I'm on my way there to download it now!

Hopefully, I'll be able to get a photo or two of the printed copies posted here in a week or so.  My printer cartridge is about out at the moment, so I'll probably order a few more today and get to work once they come in.  I gotta say, since joining this community, I've lost a lot of hours in Photoshop (okay, okay, Paint.NET...) working on covers and cropping images to fit.  That being said, I've gotten pretty handy at it, and I'm more than up to the challenge of editing down the Saturn manuals to a more DVD-case-friendly size.  Like I said before, my collection is pretty small, so it shouldn't take me too long to get it all done.

Again, TSOLfan, thank you for doing all of this work!  This entire site is such a help, in regards to bringing together an old game collection and making it look like new.  The completed Saturn DVD-sized cases, with matching manuals, will likely be the most impressive spread in my entire collection!  I'll be checking this thread every couple of days, and will keep you posted as the printed manuals come along.

Cheers!

Have fun today opening up the Mystaria: The Realms of Lore manual and the Blazing Heroes manual in two separate tabs and flipping back and forth :)

In other news, I finally got around to picking up a spare copy of Virtua Athlete 2000, so once it arrives, I'll get it scanned in and post the link.  That was the only Sega Dreamcast game I had left that was still sealed with no opened copy, so I won't have to skip any others.  Sega CD, I have quite a few still sealed games, so I may delay my start date on those to give me some more time to pick up some spares, but I haven't decided yet.

I also added one more Sega Dreamcast game to the list, the non-Limited Edition of Shenmue.  I always thought the manuals were identical, but flipping through them, they mostly are, though, the Limited Edition manual has a few extra pages at the end.

Lastly, 4 more days and I'll be done with Sega Saturn games in their entirety.
