Drakul:

Hi guys,

I'm about to buy a printer and after months of research I think I've settled on the Artisan 835.
I will use my printer for a mix of things: text, photos and print for cover and art. I already have a dedicated scanner so I'll have to compare the 2 to see which has the better output.

Does anyone have any experience with this line of printers? Do you think it would be could for printing covers?

Arseen:

If my cheapo Canon is good, I'm pretty sure yours is as well.

I got the Artisan 730..

Best printer i ever had!

Love the dual sided printing and the scanner is much better than my old Canon LiDE

alright I think I might spring for it.
My current scanner is also a Canon, the 8600f.

You just need to make sure you have high print resolution (dpi, dots per inch)
My printer is 9600 x 2400 dpi and the quality is amazing.
Same dpi for the scanner also (9600 dpi).
