So a talented coder spent the time writing a script to parse the entire site and pull out direct links to the cover download links for every game we have.

http://www.mameau.com/tmp/cplanet/

I setup a script to check the referring host for pages so you can no longer access links like:

http://www.thecoverproject.net/download_cover.php?file=snes_mortalkombatii.jpg

without the link coming from this domain. Please let me know if you run into issues where the download link endlessly redirects you instead of letting you download the cover.

Good job. People who do this give no credit to the site they leech from nor the people who created these.
At least now it takes the user to the actual page rather than just downloading the particular cover. Hopefully people using his site will navigate around our site once they get here.

Nothing?

Nope. Nothing. Works fin in IE. Works using the IE engine within Firefox. I even uninstalled my Firefox extensions to see if someone was 'causing a conflict but it didn't change the result.

version 1.5.0.7

NoScript
FlashGot
Forcastfox
IE Tab
Download StatusBar
Google Preview
WIZZ RSS Newsreader
VideoDownloader
ImageShack Toolbar

So I tried uninstalling NoScript and trying again but still nothing. I can try uninstalling the rest one by one later and see what happens.

I too am having problems while downloading the Final Fantasy covers for Gameboy Advance. I'm running Firefox 1.5.0.8 on Windows XP. Sounds like I should try IE.

Link me to the cover you are having issues with and I'll look into it.
