I don't really have any issues with the 3DS cases. At least on the 3DS case, the eco-holes are not in significant areas of the case like the Wii, blu-ray, and 360 cases. If I get one of the eco-friendly disc cases, I replace it immediately. I have not run into any PS3 games that feature the eco-case thankfully. |

Can't wait to test it out more as I've only played it a bit in a warehouse here in austria. Just out of curiosity. Any of you eu guys know if we got those 3DS eco cases here too? I was just wondering because I've never came acroos such a ECO case here in austria ever. Neither on 360 nor on PS3 or Wii..... Hmmmm. If I think about it I had a Wii ECO case once but it was an imported US game. ;D |

its not very common to see eco cases. usually i have seen them on cheap dvds like meditation and nature oriented videos that are usually sold for 2 dollars |

I would say 90% or more of my dvd purchases in the last year have had them. They are also becoming the standard in video games as well. As with most "feel good" practices the thought is nice, reduce waste plastic, but it is not a well thought out solution. Everyone I know that threw out the dvd cases before still throws them out, but I used to take them for rehousing sega CD and Saturn games, and for games that I purchased that had no cases, but I am not interested in Eco Cases so they now end up in the land fill. But not only that, I also now toss the eco cases in the trash and rehouse in the properly made DVD cases that I have. I would be willing to bet that the transition to Eco Cases have actually ended up with MORE dvd case plastic ending up in the land fill not less. |
