I assume the first one is the one also called lost levels.

And to get someone started, you should provide as much as possible:
High quality raws (even pieces), nice backstory (make one up for the hudson version atleast), screenshots (500 x 500 pixels or bit above)

For example for Hudson Mario:

One day Princess Peach/Daisy/Toadstool got kidnapped AGAIN!!!
Mario went after her in to wierd slow motion world where for some reason the scenery suddenly stopped into a wall.
When Mario touched the wall scenery warped bit ahead, but when Mario tried to go backwards he realised he could not.
DAMN Mario thought, quess Ill have to just go ahead then.

The NES "port" (and I use that term very loosely) is not like that though.

The video GRP had let me believe that the game was just like I described, but it has been changed.

The game looks just like normal SMB now.

There's a thread on romhacking.net where you can read all about it. In a nutshell, a couple of guys hacked the NES SMB to be as close to the Hudson version as possible, but within the normal SMB engine. Too bad they couldn't get any of the new enemies or items in there..
