I have this game that isn't particularly rare, Bart Simpson's Escape From Camp Deadly for the Game Boy, but what I find odd about it is the code it has on the label: DMG-TS-ASI. I haven't been able to find any source on the Internet that has this game with this particular code. Is ASI a generic Asian release? If it is, then I wonder why it states "This side out" in English... information about this would be nice.

Haven't collected anything particularly rare. I used to have two copies of Skies of Arcadia: Legends which had a very small PAL print for the GameCube. Have sold both as unfortunatenaly I have had a need for the money at some point.

I don't know what rarity guide he's using, but he's probably reading it backwards.

Yeah, I was looking at that. It seems to be missing thins in the archive, the DS list does not have any Phoenix Wright games, And i think its missing a few Mario titles. The vinyl list has no Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Michal Jackson, Metallica, and only 1 Pink Floyd  and Doors album. I do not get how the rarity is determined. In the FAQ it says
One word: Research! We research values of items just as we would research a college project.
Research of books and periodicals on the subject.
    Feedback from our community.
Our researchers' expertise and knowledge of a category being covered
Consulting with friends and clubs that have knowledge in the area.
    Observing current market activity.
Monitoring newsgroups, bulletin boards, listservs and forums on the subject matter.
Even attending many garage sales, thrift shops and flea markets to get a first hand insight!

Please forget rarity lists of some smartasses who think they researched the true worth off games thorugh books and dunnowhat! ::)

True rarity can only be determined through years of collecting and in it's course observation of the market.
2 + 3 = 23

To be honest, before I looked at that I would have said the only three on that list I would have considered rare were:

Ninja Warriors (SNES)
Final Fight CD (Sega CD)
Knuckles' Chaotix (32X)

Hahahah what the hell? This site's scores are beyond bonkers.

Super Mario World has a 72 percent rating? The game was a friggin' pack-in. There are more copies of it floating around than most people know what to do with!

I wouldn't trust that site for anything!

Bet if it had Metallica it'd probably try and say that the most recent vinyl pressing of Master of Puppets is like, super ultra-rare or something lol.

EDIT: oh god what, according to this site Earthbound is more common than Super Mario World ahahahah

Yeah, some of the ratings had me scratching my head. I just saw it recommended earlier in the thread. Like I said, I only have three games I guess I would consider rare.

NES - Magician, Contraforce, Battletoads and Double Dragon, some 260 in 1 cart, Adventure Island 3

SNES - Chrono Trigger CIB (not rare by demand is pretty high vs. supply), Eeak the cat (apparently rare but not valuable)

PS1 - Valkyrie Profile, Lunar 2 Complete with everything, Tomba!

PS2 - Probably Sakura Wars collectors edition

DS - Electroplankton, Also Radiant Historia and Infinite Space (both these aren't really rare but supply can't seem to meet demand)

PSP - lots of collector's editions (all the Ys, Legend of Heroes, Persona 1 & 2)

Saturn - Albert Odeyssey, Shining Force III

Nothing super rare but I've got some decent stuff.

I generally won't spend alot on something rare unless I intend to play it a bunch.
