I like them, although being from pal region i prefer mine saying megadrive :D other than thUat i like the first one best, if i was able to get UGC's down here in New Zealand without it costing me out the ring hole, id do all mega drive games in that format, eg no blue spine or wierd ea ones

i'm with you on that - and plan to convert all my non black grid ones as time allows.  Grumbleduke already has a PAL template up for both UGC size and sega clam size.

Nice work badchad. Are those all retail covers?

Yup, all retail baby!  ;D My whole plan behind making these templates was so we could get better retail covers up for the Genesis games that used these templates. Those are the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation Black retail covers they used before switching to the red template we all know and love!

I love this look so much more than any other, as it's what I associate with my Sega Genesis since '89!

Apperently I missed a template. Pretty much the same as the third template but with an updated Genesis logo.

I was actually going to ask you to throw a retail Toe Jam & Earl once its up. Figured since you threw up a Red Template version, shouldnt be too much trouble to convert. :)

Great minds think alike. Before you made your template I was already working on one for just that cover and ghost and ghouls but now that u made it I'll just sit and wait :)

Some games like Decap Attack have the black version as retail.  So it would make sense having that temp =P

I'm a bit in the same boat with applequeso here. If we keep making more and more different templates and redo covers for them we will end up with 10 covers per cover section for the same game, in the same version, from the same region, with the same artwork.

I'm all for doing retail covers with the appropriate template to make them look nicer but too much converting here and converting there.... I dunno....

Yeah, I'm all for converting older releases to the newer red stripe template (not just because I like it better), but it also makes some logical sense that an older title would get rereleased with the new box template (IIRC that actually did happen to a few titles). Converting red stripe titles to the grid ones, I'm not too hot on either. Though there are black grid style enthusiasts out there that will no doubt make custom covers regardless.

Hey everyone!

I'm still a little new around here, but I wanted to make my first cover. I scanned the cover for PGA Tour Golf for the Genesis, cleaned it up and resized it for the universal game cases. What do you think? Constructive criticism is welcome.

Come on we have a big thread for all Mega Drive/Genesis covers....

MOVED

Edit:

Took a look at your cover. Not bad for a first timer but the whole cover looks a bit warped. There are many edges of artwork which should be straight but are warped. Maybe your scan wasn't 100% flat?
