To clear any confusion --- Quote from: ShoothimNow on November 06, 2010, 11:52:39 PM ---I think the dimensions of his case are wrong, because you can notibly tell from the cover above it --- End quote --- The Imandix 3D case seems to be thicker than other's previews. Not the cover itself =P |

Not the cover itself =P --- End quote --- That's probably it. Imadix has a lot of different case sizes to choose from, some are thicker which is probably what's causing the letters to appear wider. Here's a stock photo of the original, you can really notice the difference on the "N" Not that it's a big deal or anything. I just figured this is one of the few sites on the net where we can really appreciate perfectionism, or closeness to it ;D The cover is great though, I really like the screenshot arrangement on the back. Great stuff! I'll be printing this one off for sure once it goes up. |

I just meant that as shenske has made this template personally that he surely did take some time and made it as close as retail looking as possible. I really think one can say he knows what he is doing. ;D |

The font i used in fact is slightly thicker than the retail version used. I used a font instead of cutting it from a cover scan so it would be vectored. The Genesis, 32X and Game Gear all use the same font with varied thickness in the lettering with each game system. I felt since fonts are vectorized (even though it is slightly off) using the font outweighed using a raster cutout of the logo from a 15 years old cover scan. |

Which font did you use, if you don't mind me asking. I've searched through all the Copperplate varations and found that the Copperplate SSi bolded, with a bit of scaling looks exactly like the one Sega used back in the day. If you guys are interested, you can grab it here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ELWWKY5E And I'm sorry if it came off as me questioning your work, that wasn't my intent. I have nothing but appreciation for the high quality of your creations. I only intended to give irvgotti some feedback, and now contribute the font to the community. Cheers. |
