Alrighty i just reprinted out my genesis cover with the new red spine colors and they came out much much much better!  Also i experimented with BradChad's recommendations on new genesis dimensions and 3200 x 2044 is absolutely perfect!  The insert fit the sega, capcom, acclaim and ea (thinner version) cases perfectly.

I was waiting to make sure the dimensions worked before i uploaded all my genesis covers in the genesis case size to the site.  I'll try and take care of uploading all of those today  :)

guys, are the raw scans I posted good to be made into covers, or they need to be better quality?

Those scans do have a pretty bad moire effect. You should descreen/derasterizre them when scanning. You could also try to flatten out them some more.

It's an option you can check in most scanners.

Shenske, when are you going to post the updated Sega template with the darker spine stripes?

Ah yes, thanks. Now to try and convince BadChad and Grumbleduke and whoever else used the old version of your template to reconvert their covers real fast.

Did a (sorta) quick conversion of the Rocket Knight Adventures cover on the site:

Removing the Sparkster T-shirt ad among other things was the most difficult part, for sure. I had to recreate a good chunk of that top right corner, hope I did a good job. I used the white genesis logos just because I prefer the look a bit more. It's pretty trivial to change it over to gray if needed though.

Yeah Ill get those 2 covers resubmitted with the new template. Should only take 2 seconds.

I just want to point something out on the Sparkster cover. I suggest removing the horizontal red bars at the bottom of the front and back. Im pretty sure those are only used on games actually released by Sega. Just a suggestion to stick closer to what it would of actually looked like in the red template.
