Looks good! Ill take down the link for my scans on that one now that its finished.

Next time when you scan please make absolutely sure that the box is 100% flat when scanning! Just put some hard cover books on it to really flat it out!

Otherwise such a scan gets partly blurry which is not too cool for cover creation.

The scan did look a little weird too. Was very difficult to sharpen it because it looked grainy fast. Could it be that you didn't descreen/derasterize?

I did put something behind the box and pushed down on it while it was scanning to flatten it out and avoid blurring. Im guessing my scanner isnt exactly the greatest.

Hey guys here's Maximum Carnage.  I know we have one on the site but it looks more like a scan of a raw and not touched up at all.  I've noticed that with a few of the older genesis games so I think I'll touch up some of them.

Anyway let me know what you guys think.  Thanks!

Re-done X-Men 2

That's pretty cool, very well done.  Though I'm still looking for something without the holographic foil on the cover.  I know a regular, non-holographic version of that picture exists (ie: faded version on the back of the box), though I haven't had luck finding it.  Alternatively, it would be cool to just see different artwork on the front cover.  Though I haven't been able to find any good X-Men art that would work with the game.  Except maybe this"

Hexxxer, since you already have the psd, would you mind popping the Magneto pic in there to see how it looks?  Alternatively, I could mess around with it, if you don't mind sending me the psd.  It would just be easier than me having to make one from scratch.

hrmm, I can see what I can do. You do know that here is no foil on this cover right? It is a custom textured background

I still can't find covers anywhere for the Genesis versions of
Beavis and Butthead
Rampart
STar Trek Deep Space Nine
Lost Vikings
Vectorman
Mega Turrican
Great Waldo Search
Jeopardy! Deluxe
Alien 3
Revolution X
and
Shadow Blasters
When i do a search, i find SNES versions, and even Saturn versions of a few.
I thot about taking the SNES version of Alien 3 and trying to mix it with a Sega Template, but i just couldn't get it right.
Hopefully these will eventually get scanned by someone somewhere, even if it's not 300dpi (i have an inkjet which doesn't make full use of higher resolution pictures...if i had a laser jet, it would matter more to me)

@ Falconhood, wow I didn't realize we don't have Vectorman on the site.

I have the original box, I'll make a cover once I have some free time.

@ Drakul, haha yeah it's a lot of red, but that's an original scan of the cover minus the small tweaks I made.  I picked up a box copy for $3 at my local Bookmans

@Falconhood: You didn't even bother to remove the mobygames watermark from the covers. *tststs*
Indiscussable. Useless. Time waste. That are just a few things which come to my mind when I see such "covers".

I hope you won't bother and upload them on our ftp.

great price... did it have the manual too? I still have my Super nes version in box... red cart and all.

side note: Is the genesis version in a red cart?

no manual unfortunately, but I did have the pleasure of removing the biggest blockbuster sticker I've ever seen.  They placed it right on the cartridge sticker :/.  The cart is not red which kind of bummed me out as well.  I only picked it up because I know we recently got the SNES version made so I said F it and picked up the genesis version.  The game is actually not bad either, but hey for three bucks I can't really complain.

i totally won't upload them, they are MOBY...meaning CRAPPY scans. BUT in a pinch, they'll be fine on my shelf.
It's either MOBY or nothing at this time.

Yep, the Genesis version was released on red carts.  Black carts were made later though.
