Best is NexPak 4/5/6!

:)

The front of this custom looks a bit strange by the way.... Could it be that the source wasn't really good?
Or did you blur it on purpose?

Alien Soldier (PAL/E.U/Retail)

An E.U and JP only release, this is one of Treasures best efforts IMHO. Its pretty rare (£90-£100/$138-$150/€103-€115 type rare) nowadays. Making one for UGC seems a bit of a waste as its mostly us Euros that own it and not too many of us use UGC, and sizing it to MD case is also a little pointless as anyone who has the cart almost certainly has the box and does'nt need an insert. Still, i was making it for my own benefit as i have an Ozisoft version i picked up on my travels many years ago and it was'nt in great nick then. Maybe someone else can make use of it too. Can be sized for MD if anyone is interested.

Could also be used to convert to an NTSC Custom for repros. I dont have this one yet but when I do, Id much rather slip the original artwork over the artwork Bratwurst draws himself for all his Genesis repros he makes.

What would you need a repro of this game for?

The PAL is english and can be played with a modded Genesis in 60Hz easily.

Thanks.

As for the cover, the picture is very large and hi res, but it is somewhat blurred looking.  I think the artist did it on purpose to give it a sort of water colour or haze effect.  Personally I like it, I think it kinda matches the art style of the NTSC Phantasy Star II.

And much more rare and expensive than it is to buy a repro copy complete with a custom cover, manual and case. I think Id rather pay around 50$ for a complete repro than 100$ or more for the orignial PAL and still have to mod my Genesis on top of that. Thats why Id rather have a repro...

The Genesis needs to be modded to play Mega Drive games? Does the Mega Drive not need to be modded to play Genesis games, or were my three just already modded before I bought them? I'm assuming the former, since Genesis games were widely sold in Australian stores at the time?

In which case, does anyone know the reason? And what sort of modding needs to be done?

Some games refuse to play if the console isnt set to the region the cart expects. My Golden Axe 3 for example, wont play on my Genesis unless I use my Game Genie and a region unlock code.

MMMonkey has tutorials to mod a bunch of consoles. Heres a link to the site:

mmmonkey rulez!

I've done quite a few mods after his instructions! Very good descriptions!

As far as region lock out goes I think that all of the Genesis games which came out before the end of 1992 should be region free anyway and even after that some never had a region lock out.

Ok so Ive printed out a few Genesis covers today and I noticed they seem to pe printing out a tad bit short height wise compared to my original Gensis covers as you can see from the pic. Length wise they seem to be fine. I resized them to 3165 x 1987 so they should be printing out correctly unless the template is little shorter than an original Genesis cover. Anyone els have this happen?

I always used a converter cartridge back then (on my PAL Mega Drive) and never had a game not play (I had a bunch of NTSC games) but maybe some just won't work.
In any case I've never heard of this game but it looks cool.
"Could this be... an omen?!"

I just missed out a real good opportunity to obtain this game. :'(

It has been sold on an austrian online flea market for next to nothing in a bigger package of worthless games. Unfortunately he put it online yesterday evening which was the only day this week I didn't look in the online flea market! DAMN!!!!!

Gone in few hours!

*sigh*

I've got no luck.....

Oh well back to cover work:

Made this cover from a posted scan. The scan was less than stellar partly blurry a bit.
As this game is pretty uncommon I did my best to still make a worthwhile cover.

Hope you like it.
