Had some time the last week and did a little cover making spree....

Phantasy Star 2 - EU:


Do I have to say anything about this game series....? Loved every part of them except the first which I never played unfortunately(never had a Master System)....

DJ Boy - EU:


I actually never played this one.... Looks like a kind of weird platformer....

Exile - US:


A great RPG like game unfortunately never released in EU.... Is a port of a PCE game(I suppose the PCE version is superior).... The front of my cover was pretty sunburned but I tried to make the best of it because this game deserves to be on our site....

Super Hydlide - EU:


I don't know why but I absolutely loved this game when I was young... Hard as hell and difficult to handle(bad bad gameplay mechanics ) but nevertheless I played this game for months...

Fatal Labyrinth - EU:


Another great Mega Drive game(or so they say)..... I think I played this in the past but I'm not sure....

McDonalds Treasure Land Adventure - EU:


Pretty decent platformer if you take into account that this game was endorsed by the devil....

Thats some nice work Tik. DJ Kid is a scrolling fighter in the Streets of Rage style, but not as good btw. I have some MD games to add soon as i finish them up, but have been stuck decorating the lounge....its taking up my cover time.

Sorry but the artwork you used for the covers seems to be from a real low res scan(especially visible on the El Viento cover) and hence they are unusable for our site.... Very unfortunate because both of those games would be very nice additions to our database....

Thanks for teh flowers.... I'm a little unsatisfied eith the front of Exile though it was the best I could do.... My cover is pretty sunburned on the front unfortunately....

I have just a little to finish up on E.U Forgotten Worlds, Outrun 2019, Super Thunder Blade, Wrestle War and Last Battle. Also have World of Illusion but that needs a little more work. Mostly oldies, even by Megadrive standards.

Not one of the best MD games (that's a fact!), decided to remake a Genesis version too as it was reasonably straightforward to do. Both template rebuilds in fact. As a side note , was'nt this something to do with Fist of the North Star?

Yep, I have the Japanese version. It's not much better, but at least the enemies blow up when you punch them, and the main character's name isn't AARZAK. It was actually the first MD game based on a licensed property... guess they weren't off to a good start, heh.

i used to have the JP version too - what happens to the enemies in the euro/us versions then?

They just fly off the screen in the direction you whack them in. Maybe explosions were to harrowing for us Westerners. This game (along with many others) has a major irritation in that when you die, you dont get to see your score. So whats the point in having a score..... that really gets my goat.
