OK, scrub what I just said about the cast coming off. Shes just come back from the hospital and it's staying on for another two weeks.

I'll still try to work on those covers though.

Ouch...I can only imagine how much fun that must be to deal with :) I appreciate the update, and look forward to having the finished cover, but no hurry :)

Hey guys,

I stumbled across a site that has some decent scans of PAL and Japanese Mega Drive covers. The only problem is that it is in Frence and I can't read it to find where the covers actually are.

If you know French then this ma be a goldmine for Genesis/MegaDrive covers.

No it's unfortunately not. I found this site a year or two ago. It's of use if there's no one with a cover and that's the only place you can get it, but the covers vary greatly in resolution. As far as I saw none of the covers is scanned at 300dpi, some are 200 dpi but the majority is just crap :-/
Maybe someone with enough Photoshop skills can touch up some of those covers though.

Oh, and you find the covers if you click on the corresponding link on the left, under emulation. From there you can access the covers.

Did the best I could with those scans, I had a stack of books laying on top of the scanner lid.  Even did 'em at 600dpi just because I knew some would need a little TLC.  Glad to see them start showing up.

You mean you laid the books on top of the cover without closing the scanner lid right?

Is the back all Spanish? If so I'd say it's an _es cover even if the artwork on the front is the same. I mean, look at the Burnout covers in the PS2 or XBOX360 section, the artwork is pretty much the same throughout regions, even the text layout is the same, it's only the language that's different.

No I closed the scanner lid.  It sits flush with the glass and is pretty heavy so the books were overkill, but its the thought that counts.  Point is that it wasn't getting any flatter.

Ok nice work.... I was just wondering why there still where some strange reflections on the cover and some of the lines where not straight. As if the cover still wasn't really flat out....  ???
Ahhhh.... Maybe it was just printed like that.....

Thanks for your contributions by the way.... Will take some time though to finish them because I'm working 60h a week at the moment.....

np for the contributions.  As for the strange reflections, there does appear to be a slight film of something on the underside of the scanner glass, which I can't do anything about without breaking it.  It's never shown up in anything else.

As far as the straight lines not all coming out straight, I don't know, I saw that too.  I assure it was as flat as possible.  You gotta figure the cover's been in a bent position for over a decade.

In other news, my last "gift" cover will be Cubivore for the Gamecube, one I'm sure you don't already have, and aren't likely to come across unless you have another cover-uploader with eccentric gaming tastes.

Hey Bungleboss, any luck with that X-Men 2 cover? Thanks!
