I just pointed this out over in the feedback forum, but you probably want to update your copy of that Genesis year 1 template, as it has "cartridge" spelled wrong on the front cover, so there's a whole batch of Genesis game box art files that have said "CARDTRIDGE" on them in big bold letters for like... years. 

I'm about to fix all the 1989 game ones that I could find.

Yeah it's so weird - apparently it's been like twelve years and tons of people have been using the original template, downloading box art, selling replacement cases, etc... and never noticed that spelling error! XD

So I see you guys post your new stuff here, but then there is also an upload tool on the main site. Is this mainly for posting new art for feedback before submitting it? Or like, a preview of what's about to be submitted?

What is the prioritization regarding quality versus authenticity? For example, I have this version of the Space Harrier II front cover that I made which includes extensive touch-ups and tweaks to the art plus a completely remade logo so I could get around the washed out look the scanned ones always seemed to have. Would this be a good candidate to submit (along with the rest of the insert of course), or does it deviate from the original too much?

The upload section of the site wasn't working for a while so everyone was posting there work on the forums in various threads. It's working now but I personally still post my latest on the forums and then upload them to the site as well.

With regard to quality versus authenticity, it's personal preference really, I prefer to make my covers as close to the original as possible but everyone's different.
There's an option to choose custom or retail when you upload your covers to the site.

Imgur always degrades the images to 72 dpi, so you may not want to host anything on there that you would like to keep at print quality.

Roger that - thanks guys! I'll get those submitted then, and I'll just stick with imgur for showing off downscaled previews.

I've started working on a project to make black box versions of the games that were released in red boxes, but with a sort of hybrid design that still incorporates elements of the red boxes into the black box grid design. Not sure what the interest level would be when it comes to adding them here though.

Hey d1ggler did you notice that your Cyberball art isn't showing up on the main page? Cyberball is listing as one of the new games under Genesis, but then when you click it there's no actual art there.

On my mission to redesign the red box games into black box versions, I've finished the fronts of all the year five games that were on my to-do list, and now I'm forcing myself to do the spines and backs before I'm allowed to move on to any of the year six games.

New custom cover for Ghostbusters! Just one of those things no one asked for but I had an itch to tinker with. As iconic as the Ghostbusters logo is by itself, I wanted to give this a little bit of its own identity, so I decided to use a proton beam to split off part of the logo into the 16-bit version from the game's title screen.
