Maybe a little nitpicky, but I'd just like to point out that when they used the large SEGA logo on the bottom stripe they didn't include the smaller one above the GENESIS logo.  Basically there would never be 2 blue SEGA logos on he same side of the box.

Took my first crack at a template today with Super Hang-On. I first tried cleaning up the scan, but those damn white lines never come out that sharp. Let me know what you think. I uploaded and hopefully it gets put up this time.

Here's the cleaned up scan:

And here's the template:

Here's Herzog Zwei for Mega Drive (Japan):

I prefer this over the US cover, I actually printed this one and replaced my US cover!

Also scanned my US retail box for Star Control:

Thank you sir! Glad to contribute. Ah, the magic of Photoshop... (My box is pretty beat up in reality, but not anymore thanks to universal game case.) I also printed a solid black inlay for the flipside, looks really nice.

I suppose Star Control is rather a RAW than a finished cover. It needs a lot of detail work on the spine, front and back.
2 + 3 = 23

I don't suppose anyone would have / could make a PAL MegaDrive version for Gunstar Heroes that would be a retail one - that is, with the same cover art as the Genesis retail version? The PAL versions we have on the site use a custom cover art. The back could be the same, but I'd really like the cover to be same as original.

Dears,
i didn't leave any comments since months - i was completely inactive at all but today i have something to share.

Since i started to collect some Mega Drive / Genesis games it bothered me that the retail boxes look so chaotic in the shelf.
So i decided to go the "black template way".
Please note that they look a bit different than the other black covers on the site. I have redone the complete back with the gray lines.

This is the result (Hope you like one or two of them):

They can be found in my box.net account as usual.

@Azazell0
I have planned to do the black Gunstar Heroes PAL cover with the original Box Art.
But it could take a while, since i don't have the game yet. :)

It's okay, if you ever get around to finishing it, give me a PM to let me know.

And I really like your covers you just posted - I think I'm gonna have to print those for all the games I have from the list.

What you said about chaotic - it always bothers me that I have some MD games that have the later "blue" cover like Taz - Escape from Mars and Comix Zone and the rest have black covers. If I had some skills, I would've personally made a "black label" version of those "blue" covers to satisfy neurotics like me who like the spines to look the same kind in the shelf!  ;D
