Thanks!  Yeah all the copies I've seen of this game have a really dark cover, here are a few to compare:

Sweet!  Here's another game I need covered.  I've played a little and it is similar to Star Control 2, although I haven't gotten involved in combat yet.  There isn't as much humor in the dialog, though.

Any chance you'd be willing to do an NTSC-U version?

Awesome, I was just planning to take a trip to the print shop too.  I'll wait for this one to go up, I can run it off with the other covers I need to print.

Doesn't look bad at all.

Only the back text looks a bit warped partially but this could also be on the cover itself.

I'm not sure if I see what you are talking about on the back, but if necessary I could try to figure out what font that is and just type it in. If that's the case, it would also make it easier for me to press that whole background pure black instead of the scanned equivalent....

It is not really THAT bad. Just a tiny bit partially.

You can try to make the back solid black with the maigc wand tool in ps by the way.

Ok, well here is a version where I cleaned up the back a bit then. Yeah, I guess I was going overboard. I totally forgot about that I could use the magic wand/paint bucket tools.

I was curious and took a quick look at it. Couple points.

1. Noticed some moire effect on the logo on the spine, back and the front cover.

2. The KOEI logo on the spine has some black on the border. What i suggest is right clicking the layer
Blending Options > Color Overlay > White
and that should make it completely 1 solid color.
3. Since the magic wand doesn't get all of the back black click on
Image > Adjustments > Levels
the left tab adjusts the darks the right tab adjusts the whites and the middle controls the balance. Just adjust the left tab a few points to darken up any areas that require it eg. the middles of letters like "o" "e" etc etc. The right tab will bring out the whites in the barcode area and patents box.

Or you can do what a few of the guys and I do, and just retype the back.

@irvgotti: Actually I'm one of those types who doesn't like retyping too much. for legal text and barcode yes but for the back text I kinda try to avoid it. I just feel that it looks more retail with the original back text on it than retyped cause you never find a 100% font.
