thank you. I hate to bother you. I appreciate your work here and I am thankful for the raw scans. I notice that someone had mentioned the byuu website - I had tried to join this site before but he denied me access because I had asked him to share scans.

It is difficult to find people like you, akrate and everyone else here that shares, as Arseen, Shoothimnow, Sheep and Brandonh1091. I want to thank all of you and I hope that you will always share raw scans with the members.

I like to make my own covers and just because someone has made a cover based upon tcp's templates should not mean that you do not share. I wish that you will still share content despite the existence of covers so that others have a chance to use the artwork.
In any event, I still thank you and I am happy to have the scans. You are the best.

It's not that I don't WANT to share. I get all these scans from my friend Tom (who finally signed up by the way under "TOM ATARI", if you ever see him here, give him a shout out). I bring my all-in-one and laptop to his house and he "digs" out games for us to scan. I only have so much time whenever I'm over there, so I try to concentrate on games that don't have a horizontal or a vertical cover yet. As I pretty much scan in alphabetical order (how they are in the box), if I didn't skip Dig & Spike, Kablooey and Sim Earth, then there wouldn't be Time Trax, Wayne's World and Wizard of Oz in this batch.

For games that already have covers done and on the site, I do not scan them unless someone specifically requests it. It would take way more time and effort than it's worth (to me). You'd be surprised if you knew how much time I've spent scanning to contribute here. Which reminds me, I need to change my stats as I'm over 3000 scans now. :)

I will definately be nice. I am ever-grateful for his contributions. He is an awesome, awesome man - and you too, akrate. I doff my hat to you.

since we are on the subject of covers, I want to post a wishlist of mine. I just figure that since you may be poking around a gamebox, then perhaps you might spot a few of the boxes and remember me  ;D I truly desire raw scans of these games and I will be so happy if you could help me acquire as many as you can scan. Obviously, no hurry mate.

first of all, I CANNOT believe that I am unable to find raw scans for the following games (so, yes, I am in need of the scans; id est, I do not have any scans of the following titles.)

Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island

second, I am hoping that you may be able to find some of these in Tom's MAagic Game Box. Bold text indicates a strong desire for raw scans of these covers.

ACME Animation Factory
Addams Family
Addams Family Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt
Adventures of Yogi Bear
Aero the Acro-Bat
Aero the Acro-Bat 2
Arcana

Not sure I know what you're asking. Are you thinking that some of the games don't include the spine because there's not a separate scan for it? If so, all of the spines are included in the folders. If I'm not able to break the box down and scan it flat, I make a 3rd scan for the spine.

no problem , if you don't want to press your games ;) just scan these like others spines, but with your actual scans, i can't do covers like this:

3 spines are not presents (Top, Left and Right spines in fact)

sorry i'm not pretty good in english :P

Oh, I see what you mean now. Yes, I would like to press every box flat (saves me time) but they are not my games. The ones I'm allowed to break down I can include the flaps. The ones I'm not allowed to press would take too much time to scan all 6 sides (sorry).

in most cases, the spines are the same; so a single scan of a spine will do for the purpose of customized artwork. ebay has many multi-angle photos for referencing.
Most of us would have to buy the boxes to get the artwork so a thank you for any scans is in order.

yes i know. i generally use this method, but with 3 spines lost, it's pretty hard with many games.
and sometimes , there is text on a little corner and the resolution is too tiny for seeing what is write.

si he can do a photo with all game superposed.
it's more fast for him, and if the resolution is good, i'll can also see the text.
if an element is not present on one spine, i can come back here and say it for just one scan...

all solutions are possible :P

I understand. I know that some game boxes have character images on a spine and I, too,  would like to have such scans but if the game collector is not willing to break down boxes, then I respect that choice. Further, I do not expect someone to spend so much time scanning. If it were an easy job, then everyone would be doing it and sharing. Scanning is very time consuming. If given a choice, I will select front and back scans and one spine. I'm happy.

Hopefully, you do not think that I am being rude. I just think that if a scanner has time to scan some games, then I want as many front/back covers as possible. More scans equates to less games, then I do not need the spines.

I wish you luck with finding all-sides of a box. Maybe you can make a request for a scan. Are you seeking a particular spine?

@akrate: Brett Hull Hockey '95 manual restoration is complete. I am in the process of cleaning the cover photo. The manual cover is larger than the box cover so I am having problems adjusting the background. I will need a few days to clean then adjust the scan to fit the manual. Just letting you and everyone else know that the manual will be uploaded very soon, followed by the covers and label. Have a great day ...

I'll have it to you very soon. I made it specifically for you and akrate because of all of the scans that you afford me and everyone here at tcp. I am happy to give back to the community. The manual is awesome. I am happy with my the results. sizing is 1800x1313. I'll be working on the cover photo more today and as soon as the cover photo is complete, I will upload it for your collection :-D

Have a great day, friends, and thank you so much for all of the raw scans.
