I'm just looking around trying to find scans in need of conversion, and it appears a number of the scans from the first submission in this thread have yet to be done in one way or another. For instance, Alien 3 only has a vertical cover on the site, and I don't see any covers for FIFA Soccer 96 or the Flintstones. Is it safe to assume these are still available to work on? I see later in the thread people mentioning they'll work on various scans, but the comments are a few years old now, and I see many newer scans being discussed in the much more recent pages here.

A big thanks to everyone, I've loved this place for years!

EDIT: And while I'm asking questions, I notice in the /uploads/raw/ section of the site there are scans such as the US version of Taz-Mania which have yet to be made into covers. Are those also just waiting for a motivated amateur graphic designer?

I shared an Alien 3 cover a while ago and the only thing missing are the retail snapshots. The rest was 100% vectorized/retouched.

Hey all,

I just wanted to see if my scans from my own printer will be useable. Can someone have a look at this test image and let me know? I've had trouble using this scanner before and no, it does not have a "derasterize" option. If they are unacceptable, I will use a different scanner.

Oh, that's very nice looking! Has it been submitted to the main site and is waiting to be published, or is it still a work in progress? I'm still trying to get my head around the process of making covers for this place. There seems to be a very high standard for publishing, but I'm having a hard time finding anything written down in regards to what those standards are. Some covers on the main site are in really rough shape (like the one for the SNES Legend of Zelda or Mario All-Stars) and don't seem to meet the requirements of submission. I'm guessing those were just grandfathered in when the rules were tightened, but as a new guy have no idea really. Is there a master list of any sort showing raw images awaiting restoration and who might be working on them, or is it just a matter of reading through the old threads?
Thanks!

If you look on the left hand side under Links, the fifth one down says, "Raw Cover Scans". You can look through those to see which ones need restoration.

Thanks! None of my SNES covers have been approved. I'm not sure why with covers like this for Alien 3, but I guess they pass unnoticed with all the non-cover-related threads.
