Its pretty easy actually. I never did soldering before trying the standard SoM2 mod, and I never ever tried SMD soldering before last friday and it worked on the first try! That does look alot easier. Where do you get the tsop adapter and what chips do you use? Is there a guide for this method? |

Oh , and I forgot 2 mention I never got one to work, six failed attempts. I dont know what I am doing wrong. On the mad 1 chip when connecting the moe line, do i have to disconnect the mad 1 from the board at that spot. If so do i have to do that for the rco connection too? I dont think I can stomach this four eprom method any more. What parts do i need for the tsop way? I would like to take a stab at it. |

If you want you can send me one or two failed attempts and I will tell you what went wrong! You don't lift the pins when connecting moe or rco. I guess you still solder wrong or destroy pads, I wouldn't recommend you the TSOP way yet, these are waaay tinier :) |
