Waiting for a new display..im pretty sure backlighting a DMG is easier :| Just need to find a good one at a good price :D --- End quote --- You cant rush the process. Take your time with either game boy. I think the process is equally delicate with both style gameboys. With the color game boy you don't even have to go through the hassle of an afterburner kit. Some a couple 5mm leds and some resistors and you're good. --- Quote from: SonicAdvDX on May 29, 2011, 06:43:45 AM ---Hey Irv, what did you use to color your frontlight jobs? They look sick! --- End quote --- A simple kit from Nonfinite Electronics (google I think I mispelled it). Not expensive at all and they deliver superfast. --- Quote from: vladictivo on May 29, 2011, 12:27:55 PM ---Out of curiosity, did you use any kitsch-bent kit? --- End quote --- He was always sold out :( but I did buy some buttons sets from him for my nes controllers. Top notch stuff. |

Do you do custom work? If so, what price range are we talking? :D |

XD I checked out the Nonfinite Electronics guy, and he doesn't seem to do custom orders anymore, at least not at the moment. Then again, with you being how swamped with work that you already are, I doubt you could fit Gameboy-modding into your schedule. :P |

I mean, let me take a look at what you have available first, but all I really need is a backlight, colored would be excellent, too. I don't really need/want the sound mods. --- Quote from: irvgotti452 on May 29, 2011, 06:05:51 PM ---Oh almost forgot SonicAdvDX here ;D --- End quote --- YOU ARE THE MAN!!!! ;D Just two more, and my entire cover collection will be over and done with!! ;D EDIT: Seriously, dude, I really appreciate it. I owe you a pint. RE-EDIT: Also, you seem to have saved the two most popular games for last. :D Theme Park is one of the few games that I've heard of people actually enjoying, and Mutant Penguins is the most recognizable game for the Jag, aside from Tempest, of course. ;D |
