Gamestop just got a marketing kit from Nintendo and it came with red colored Nintendo DS cases. My assumption is that Nintendo is finally releasing a budget line for DS games. Who knows though as the cover art that came with it looks normal. All I know is I found the perfect type case for my WonderSwan games!!!

Also, important to note that these are the GBA-less Eco DS cases.

Me wanna see too.

I would imagine it's very similar to the red plastic used for the Super Mario History disc that came with the Wii version of Mario All-Stars.

...That really makes it stand out on my shelf. >:(

I'm not able to upload any pictures at the moment and probably won't be able to until Monday. The cases are the same color red as the New Super Mario Bros Wii cases. I hope we can order these from Nintendo soon as I would love to stock up on these. Now that I've seen the red cases I don't want to case my Wonderswan games in anything else.  :P

What would you guys use the red cases for, if you don't mind my asking?

Maybe to case spesific serie, like NES classic serie on GBA.
But most likely only as place holder until finding black replacement.

There's no GBA slot in these.  It *could* still be done, though.

Personally, I'm thinking it might be pretty cool to put New Super Mario Bros. in one so it matches the Wii version.

I doubt anybody's going to use these as placeholders. If you can buy the red ones from Nintendo, then you can obviously buy the black ones from Nintendo. Buying red ones to hold you out until you have the ability to replace them with black ones would just be.... Well, stupid.

However, twilightwolf77 could have answered his own question by looking two posts above his own post where Shenske said he would use them for Wonderswan cases. That's probably what I will end up using them on as well, if I can get my hands on them. I might also put my Neo Geo Pocket Color games in there, since the red plastic is pretty much in-keeping with red being a dominant color in the NGPC logo.

Yeah to buy these to be place holders would be stupid, DUH.  ;D

I meant in case if I get game in one of these, I would replace it with black ASAP.
