What definitely got me started was trying to clean games which were already cleaned to play properly...

Mind you, my NES collection alone is like 9X larger,  I see 18 N64 games, I now have over 150, etc

It was rewarding to sit down next to my shelf and be able to just look at all the art and manuals. I would draw covers for my games if they were missing them. Once I had access to the internet I could print out really low resolution covers, but it was often hard to print them to the right size, especially with jewel cases. One day I found a custom DVD cover for Metal Gear Solid on DeviantArt. I was so in love with the idea I printed the cover out immediately. A few quick Google searches later led me to a thread on CAG about PS1 DVD covers, and eventually that thread led me to this site, and I never turned back.

tl;dr I've always been obsessed with casing my games. Finding this site was like magic to me.

I was looking for a way to restore my GameBoy, NES and N64 game boxes, and I found a blog o a forum (I don't remember what it was) where they talked about the UGCs and they mentioned this site for obtaining the covers because of the great quality of the job done. They showed some photos of how would a collection look in the UGCs with the printed covers and a comparison between the raw scan and the restored cover (it was the Street Fighter II Turbo cover created by Mayor McCheese) and I thought: "Whoa! That's awesome! I'd love to learn how to do that and restore my boxes". So I started visiting this site and after some practice with Photoshop and Corel Draw (and better results with the second one) I registered and started trying to collaborate.
