It was missing one home console game.  The entire disc was old-school home console games.  And you say "free", remember that was a limited offer.  Many people got raped paying $80 for it on ebay, Nintendo could have sold it for a profit.

Could have.  Didn't.
Nintendo isn't responsible for what people paid on eBay.
And it was missing two console games.

The way I always looked at it was it was the first two 2D titles and the first two 3D titles.  Also, it was what you needed to play every Zelda game (at the time) on the GameCube (although OoT was already released on the GCN, that disc was a bit more limited... and, of course, Z1 was playable on the GCN before hand, but only semi-officially)  This disc was never intended to be, nor did Nintendo ever claim it to be a "Complete Collection".

It was a freebie.  Would I have liked for it to have included LttP?  Sure.  I already own two copies on the SNES and two copies on the GBA (actually, I have four now, but two at the time).  But instead of complaining that it didn't have LttP, I'll just be thankful for the freebie we got.

No.. it is only missing one, I have no idea what the hell you are referring to.  There were 5 games released beforehand - 2 on the NES, 1 on the SNES, and 2 on the N64.  It is missing the SNES one.  I guess we will have to agree to disagree.  And don't tell me Nintendo isn't responsible for what people pay on ebay lol.  They fuck both their loyal players and themselves with that limited time only shit.  I'm glad they learned their lesson with Super Mario All-Stars :)

Wind Waker was released about a year before the Collector's Disc.

And no, Nintendo isn't responsible for anything beyond MSRP.

Look, we're just going to have to agree to disagree.  I don't mind that LttP wasn't on it and you're obviously upset that the free disc didn't include a fifth game for free.

How many cavities does that gift horse have, anyway?

Wind Waker was available for the gamecube so of course that wasn't necessary.  Nintendo does fuck everyone over by throwing out limited edition games they know people will get screwed over on later.

Link to the Past was perfectly playable on the GameCube.  So was Zelda 1 - mostly.

Do tell, though, what, exactly, does Nintendo gain out of someone paying stupid prices on the second hand market for something?

They gain NOTHING!  This is my fucking point!  Look at it this way:  Nintendo releases the Zelda collectors game for a limited time.  Demand for the product then rises, therefore the price on ebay rises to nearly triple what Nintendo COULD be making off the game.  So then people like me, who instead of buying it from Nintendo, putting money in the pockets of Nintendo, are forced to buy it on ebay for $80.  That is $80 that Nintendo will never see, that is $80 that could have bought another Nintendo game still in production.  See?  Everyone gets fucked!

I've actually been dying to play Majora's mask the most because of its creepy atmosphere.

My heart actually skipped a beat when I saw the cutscene after the first dungeon. (played half asleep)
Those tomatoes still creep me out

Why didn't you just subscribe to Nintendo Power and get the game for $20 (Plus the one-year subscription, of course)?

Apparently not..  I've had a few sour words thrown my way too.  No personal offense to you Uncle Bob.  Just the rip off sucks.

You won't regret it. <3 Dragon Roost Island music. And a lot of the music from the rest of the game too, for that matter.
