The rarest game I own is Star Fox Super Weekend on SNES. I think my most prized game (for me at least) would have to be Valkyrie Profile for PSX.

Ufouria on NES.

it's PAL version converted to US version by changing one chip inside.

SO to my knowledge it's the only US version that exists.

Wow I wonder if you could do that on an SNES cartridge? :O

The Game

As far as rarest goes, I have Dragon Quest II, Dragon Quest III, EarthboundChrono Trigger, and Seiken Densetsu 2: Secret of Mana still with a complete box and such. As well as a few Playstation games that are quite pricy... Vagrant Story, the Lunars, Tales of Eternia, and a few others but I wouldn't call them "rare."

Bust most treasured? Why, a damn near complete set of Final Fantasy and Zelda titles, of course!

Final Fantasy (FAM)
Final Fantasy (NES)
Final Fantasy II (FAM)
Final Fantasy Origins
Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls

Final Fantasy III (FAM)
Final Fantasy III (DS)
Final Fantasy IV (SFAM)
Final Fantasy IV (SNES)
Final Fantasy IV (PSX)
Final Fantasy IV Advance
Final Fantasy V (SFAM)
Final Fantasy V (PSX)
Final Fantasy V Advance
Final Fantasy VI (SFAM)
Final Fantasy VI (SNES)
Final Fantasy VI (PSX)
Final Fantasy VI Advance
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2
Final Fantasy XI
Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia
Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urghan
Final Fantasy XII (Limited Edition)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest

I also have both films and both animated series. I have yet to pick up Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerebus, because it's garbage, and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales, because Super Paper Mario got my money this week.

Legend of Zelda
Legend of Zelda II: Adventure of Link
Legend of Zelda Collector’s Edition
Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time / Master Quest
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
(GC)
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

I'm missing Link's Awakening DX, and A Link to the Past / Four Swords, as well as the CD-i games. But one day, one day...

I think its a GOOD thing you're missing the Zelda CDI games! ;)

I don't have any Intellivision games, but I do have some ADAM computer gams as well as newer games from NES onward. I think I'll go ahead and start a new thread just for that.

Don't know, but I think no, because SNES games are more complex.

Wow, my first post!  Woooo!

The rarest game that I own, by far, is Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II Plus for the Nintendo Gamecube.  I bought it when it was first released for about $30, and I mostly keep my Gamecube around so that I can pop it in every now and then.  I think it currently goes for between $60 - $80 online, if it's complete with its case and manual.  I'm proud to say that mine is!

I alsp have Phantasy Star II for the Sega Genesis, complete with the original case, manual, maps, and hint book.  I feel like that game might be worth more than the PSO set for the Gamecube, but it doesn't matter - neither are for sale, and neither ever will be!

I only own about 40 games across 5 systems (Genesis, SNES, Saturn, N64 and Gamecube) but I love them all dearly.  One of these days, I'll find a modestly-priced Panzer Dragoon Saga to add to the collection, but I'm in no rush.  Of course, once I pick that up, it'll be the rarest game in my collection, by far!

This is a great thread!  I hope people keep chiming in :-D

Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, FFVII (3 versions of cases but only 2 complete copies)

After that I have the PS1 Lunar Games in ok shape with original boxes and manuals (missing few small things for both though)

I have a lot of RPG games, they are my favorite to play and collect.

Chrono Trigger and Alundra are probably my prized/favorites though. As much as I love games, I don't find myself beating many of the in depth lengthy ones. I did beat these two and found them to be AWESOME games.

With school grades being a big problem for me years ago my parrents decided to take and sell my Alundra and Chrono Trigger.   6 Years ago I got my Alundra Back and just after that my Father in-law got a box of mostly complete SNES and Genesis games for 30 bucks (40+ Games)

As I rummaged through helping him sort out the more rarer ones  (Breath of fire 1, and 2 was in there) I grabbed Chrono Trigger....honestly I started shaking and didn't put it down even when the sorting of the box was empty.

My wife casually told her father he needed to give the game to me, and he happily handed it over.

He made $300+ on the rest of them on eBay.....I bid on and won his Breath of Fire II

I don't have a lot of older games in great shape wit the box and manual.  (I know Im not alone with this because of this site :))

I keep Chrono Trigger and BoFII in a model car plexi glass case above the rest of my games.

I have this NES cart that's super rare.  I found it at a flea market and the fool was only asking $20 for it.  It's got two really awesome games on it, the first Mario Bros and some game where you hunt ducks.  Can't remember the name of it.  Pretty awesome though.
