Awesome, I had no idea. I'm a total sucker for shooters. Those aren't Japan-only, are they?

Most of the shooters are JP only. ;)

And most of them are very pricy!

I voted for Dreamcast. It was a close call between Mega Drive and Dreamcast. But I remember the first time I played Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast and that just blew me away. Plus I was always a Nintendo fanboy and I bought my Mega Drive just 10 years ago, AFTER I bought my Dreamcast :D

Haha, I've played through 3D Blast (Genesis and Saturn version, Saturn obviously being way better), Sonic Jam and Sonic R. 3D Blast is easily my least favorite Sonic game (I mean, of the Sonic games released BEFORE Sega cut off their console division. 90% of the games after Sonic Adventure DX is a disgrace to Sonic's good name. Also, Knuckles Chaotix. But let's not talk about that.), so I don't feel the need to go back and play it over again. I've done it twice, and that's one time too many for me. Same goes for Sonic R. As for Sonic Jam... I think it makes a better collector's item than an actual game. It's a gussied up compilation game. If I want to play the originals with more "up-to-date" hardware, I'll just play Sonic's Genesis Collection for PS3 and play them in HD. Don't get me wrong, I love the games for what they are. But I don't love them enough to play through them again, and I have 14 other consoles that I would much rather keep hooked up to my TV besides the Saturn.

But, thanks for that list of games. The only one I have on that list besides the Sonics is Bug!. How is the Saturn port of Rayman? Any improvements? I still don't own a copy of that for any console. I was planning on getting the PS1 version.

Try the Saturn version, just small differences like at the end of a level on ps1 the screen fades to black, on saturn the screen shapes into a ball and bounces around.
