Wow...didn't realise there was a whole thread's worth of covers I may need!  How come those aren't yet on the covers listings?  Do they need to go through a copyright clearance to be able to use the original artwork or something like that (given lawsuits what they are now I wouldn't be surprised)?

Some are, some didn't pass quality check, some just aren't yet.

Ah, a quality check.  That makes sense, then.  They look pretty good to me, though, so I'm wondering what would disqualify them, quality-wise.  Of course, I'm one of the least artistic people on the planet so my opinion means pretty much bugger all.  ;D

Well, if the standard of quality is high then it's understandable why something would take more time to do.  I wonder how picky they are about scratches and stuff, though.  I was about to print out the Dragon Warrior 1 retail cover the other day when I noticed it looks like it had a bunch of wrinkles and creases on it (kind of like how my old box for it looked before I tossed it years ago, heh) so I figured it must have been something else.  Maybe those were part of the box art and I have forgotten?

That is cover from the times before there was huge step up in quality standarts

Gotcha.  Hopefully someone will have time to fix that one up some day, because I thought I saw someone with a DW3 cover done.  I already have DW2 and DW4 in cases and it'd be great to one day have the other two alongside them.

I just can't believe the amount of time and effort people have put into making all these awesome covers.  Awesome stuff.

Yes it exsists, bit rough but quite OK.

Will post link when I find it again.

Oh, don't worry about it.  I'll probably wait until it's gone through the quality check and makes it to the main site before printing anyway.  Even if it takes a while, the end result is worth it.  So far I've got about 135 of my NES games covered and they look very nice with all the purty covers on them.  Now they look artistic and professional in addition to nostalgically nerdy!  ;D
