Misanthroat:

I wasn't sure if you guys wanted to keep the Nintendo logo or go with the publisher's logo... kinda like the SNES UGC Vertical cover.
I'll update the cover so it says Nintendo on the side to keep it consistent with the rest... I'll post the link here tonight when I get time to edit it.

Actually would it be possible to make the Text section editable in the Template? I'd like to be able to alter the Bar code and the Product #'s. if possible but I can live without it.

Well you can put a new bar code over the old, if you like.

Personally, i dont care much about the barcode or serial numbers, what i want is every cover with the same side and back logos. ;)

This thread really turned into a posts for noobs, seriously!  I for one (much like every member before the register to download era) would prefer quality over quantity.  I also dont want Mega Man Xtreme 2 to say

The backs are not the same, because they are registered by different corporations.  You cannot have the same spine and every back identical.  They may look nice, but it is a waste of time for everyone as your cover will never be used and someone like myself will recreate a new one just to make it authentic.

Your idea to cover a Game Boy game inside a cassette case was a wonderful idea, but your cover making idea's are way way way behind our sites standards.  I am surprised that TikTak hasnt commented anything on these covers yet, because they will NEVER make it onto the website.

For personal use, hey have the spines and the backs all state "COPYRIGHT 1985 NINTENDO" and the spines all have Nintendo logos when it was developed by CAPCOM and has been placed on multiple consoles.  That maybe fine with you, but I see that as wasted time for everyone

Well its an amatorial project i started for myself only, so you shouldnt have expected an awesome reproduction of a retail cover, with real barcode, serial number and so on.

But anyway, take a look at the back part, It is so small. And 99% of times you cut 1/2 cm off because no one has old cases with larger back (pic under here - thats not me)

This means you have even less space to write something on, so i just put nintendo seal, barcode, and nintendo logo. I dont think it's better with developers name or trademarks laws or shit like that, try to imagine how it would look like, 10 rows of text in 3cm height.  :(

As always: points of view.

sheep2001:

when i first joined these boards i wasw the same - i just wanted the spines to look pretty on my shelf.  but if the text is wrong, then it shouldn't be there.  i love these cassette covers, but if the barcode is wrong, and the legals are random, i would rather they were not there at all.

Even when i am doing covers for my own use, using crappy internet images (my amiga collection for example), i either recreate the barcode here "http://www.terryburton.co.uk/barcodewriter/generator/" and paste it in, or i leave it blank if i can't find one.

Each to their own, but i want my covers to be correct.
