I came here to make this same type of topic. Guess I'll just see what other responses this gets. :P My printer (an HP F4480) worked fine for a few months, but then it randomly stopped working. It doesn't have any connection to the computer even though I have checked the USB cables. I then hooked it directly into a laptop computer and it worked fine for about 2 weeks before having the same thing happen to it. Once it stopped working I had it unplugged for a week or so. Yesterday morning I plugged it back in to the first computer and it worked just fine with no issues, including network printing. Then when I went back later in the night it was back to the not communicating part. I left it unplugged overnight but this morning it still couldn't connect. I went through ever step of the "Can't Print? Print Jobs are Stuck in the Print Queue" section of the HP page but it still is not working. The desktop which I first used run Windows 7 32-bit and the laptop runs Windows 7 64-bit. I've tried uninstalling the drivers, installing them from HP's page, leaving the power off, plugging it into different USB ports, trying a different cable, but nothing is working so far. Assuming I can't get it to work, I'll be having to pick up a new printer. |

BTW: Have you tryed do download latest driver from HP's home page. it might help if the reason is not that power leak but Windows 7 not likng your printer. |

It seems that HP printers give trouble for atleast two or three users running on newer than XP windows. NOT GOOD. :( Here is link to the other: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=5824 Maybe you can help each other. |

I've tried new drivers and old drivers. None fixed the problem. A power leak you say? Is such a thing fixable? |

Especially printers as manufacturers sell them even at loss, as they make money mainly from inks. |
