I am wondering if anyone has purchased an up-converter to make their old school game systems look better on HD televisions.  I think the picture on my older games could look a lot better.  Any suggestions?  Any ones I should avoid?  I only know one guy who bought one and he spent $4,000 on it, yes that is right, four-thousand dollars!  Way out of my range.

Also, just so you are familiar with my set-up:  I have my Sega CDX / 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, and PS2 all having their A/V Cords going into a single video switcher.  I have my NES, SNES, and N64 all going to a second video switcher.  The switchers prevent me from ever having to swap cords in the back of my TV.  The two switchers are connected to a 3rd switcher which allows me to flip between switcher A and B.

Will I be able to successfully use an up-converter?  Where can I get a good one?

Up converters are way to pricey for me. I know you can get them on amazon but I haven't bothered to research the quality.

I used to use switchers but the cords are way too chaotic. I decided to just put each systems cords and controllers in a large zip lock bag and only hook up one system at a time. Looks much cleaner.
