I finally managed to get a Neo Geo with a quite low Serial Number for a reasonable price and hence there are two games included with their original artwork I thought I should preserve those too...

I see that there is a Neo Geo Cd section, will normal Neo Geo Cartridge games covers also be posted in this section?

Does anyone know if Neo Geo carts fit in UGCs? Or are the original cases beautiful enough or even more beautiful than newly printed ones?

Can't wait to hold them in my hands.... I think this is the new diamond of my collection.... ;D

Happy I am....

No clue what they will fit in, but feel free to scan the artwork in and we'll find a case to fit them in. :)

The original Neo Geo Shock Boxes are absolutely beautiful and really stand out in any collection. Handle them carefully because spare Shock Boxes are hard to come by. There's really no other real chance to get replacements than to buy boxed games from eBay or shops that still sell Neo Geo games.

The Neo Geo CD section was set up by Snowcone by my request since I wanted to scan my Neo Geo CD games, which I just didn't find the time to do. I could never afford a Neo Geo or the games but it was my childhood dream so the Neo Geo CD was the closest thing to the "real thing". Be sure I envy you buddy :D

As for Neo Geo carts ind UGCs...NO CHANCE IN HELL :) NG carts are big, or more like massive, HUGE :) They're just as thick as a UGC and even bigger than the UGC as such!

*Räusper*  ;D
I handle all my boxes with extreme care... Especially if they are so hard to come by I will take extra care of them....

They are really that huge!?!?!? Wow that's impressive. I thought UGCs are pretty thick.... :) Hope the games I get are in good state... You never know just from some photographs....

@kaiser: I think from the software point of view there's no real big difference between Neo Geo aes and Cd systems. There are almost all aes titles available on the cd system as well... The only painful difference is that the cd system has those extreme long loading times...

A yes another thing.... Does anyone know if it's true that there are really such big differences between japanese and american versions of games?

Regards Seb

P.S. I'll scan the artwork and put it in the Neo Geo Cd section then....

Hard to find good pictures of Neo Geo carts where you can compare the sizes. But trust me, they are bigger than any cart I've seen :)

EDIT:
There's even a few Neo Geo CD games that were only released on CD. But nothing spectacular. Loading times are bearable if you're in love with SNK games like I am but Real Bout Fatal Fury Special has loading times of 45sec (yes, I clocked it :)) between new opponents :)

And yes, there are differences between Euro/US and JAP games like text, blood and most notable 'Bounciness'!
A number of US and European games have minor graphical differences to their Japanese counterparts. As you might expect, Japanese consoles feature Japanese text, whilst US and European consoles have English text. All Western style games (i.e. not Mahjong) feature English speech, regardless of their intended region. Blood in US and European fighters is green or white, most notably Samarai Showdown (plus you can't perform a "fatality") whilst the blood is red in the Japanese version. Japanese fighting games also feature a lot more bounce to certain parts of the female characters' bodies! (e.g. Mai :) )

Neo Geo carts are the largest game carts ever created...they're huge, massive, gigantic...Just pretty big.

They won't fit in the UGC's, or the very largest VHS cases.  I don't know what the solution would be.

I have two carts that I bought on ebay with a supposedly working Neo Geo.  Unfortunatley it doesn't work and I am dealing with the seller at the moment (who I must say has been reasonable about it all).
No Metroid on N64, What was Nintendo thinking? ;)

Because I bought a Neo Geo with two games too.... ;) Didn't receive it up to now but it was just some days ago that I bought it so.... I hope the best....
