I'll try to find out

Nope, only Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish subtitles.
KaiserWAVE:
Ah, too bad. Thanks for checking for me!
Btw, I got a question comradesnarky or in fact anyone with a Region B or codefree Bluray of Escape From New York could answer.
I'm a huge John Carpenter fan and most of his well known movies have been released in Germany but half of them is really abysmal in quality. I got Halloween, The Thing and Big Trouble In Little China and they all look great. Well worth it. Especially Big Trouble In Little China, awesome campy movie and incredibly colorful.
The Fog, Escape from New York and John Carpenter's Vampires have been released in Germany but they look horrible. I don't even think they had a HD master, it really looks like an upconverted DVD (and a bad one at that, real bad). comradesnarky mentioned Escape From New York as a must have so I was wondering if he could say anything about the quality?
In fact, if anyone from any European country could point me to a good Bluray of any of these three movies (or other Carpenter movies that I didn't list here) or someone from the US who could confirm that there's a region free Bluray release, please come forth :)

Last I'd heard, the US release of Escape From New York is just as bad actually.
