Wii Remote - What Can I Do?
<< < (2/4) > >>
KaiserWAVE:
If it's really the blue diode that's bothering him...don't you usually cover it with your hands when you play?

I'm not making fun of it, if it's a medical condition then I'm sorry for that. It's just the way he describes his sensitivity for light and that it cause him headaches. Yet it's not the games on screen that bother him but the blue light on the Wiimote that's barely seen when playing and if you do see it then from the corner of your eye???

Again, mariocaseman, I'm not trying to make fun of you or belittle that condition. It just sounds so odd the way you describe your predicament.

From experience, I can say that this can be very annoying.

I never noticed it before.  Now I can't stop looking at it. :-\

The problem is proximity.  I can have 10 big screen TVs as long as I am far enough away from them.  The Wii Remote is only an arms length away.  And I play games like DKC Returns, NEW SMB Wii, so when holding the remote sideways, it is not covered up.

Duct tape would be your best bet. You can also open the controller up and desolder the blue LED, but I'm not sure how delicate the inside of a Wiimote is. I'd stick with the tape.
