Yeah, the only way to make it is by modifying an actual Star Ocean Super Famicom cartridge. I dunno how it's done, but apparently, it's extremely difficult.

Luckily, the guy AppleQueso referred me to was able to make a cartridge for me. I have since received it in the mail, and it works beautifully.  ;D

It can be done otherwise, but, it involves alot of eproms.

Yes, but from what I've heard, if you simply use the amount of eproms required, it won't fit properly in a regular cartridge, and you'll have to play it as a naked chip.

At least, that's what I've heard.

As for repros, I'm preparing to try one myself. Though I'll start with something simpler then Star Ocean.
Yesterday I found a neat site which has a step by step guide on how to make a repro. If anyone else is interested, here's a link:
http://snesdev.romhack.de/game_select.htm

I'll start with Secret of Mana 2, and keep you guys informed.

That does not look too hard actually.

amarthar:

The only part that's hard for me is that I have NO previous experience with soldering electronics, NO previous experience with EPROM programming, and NO equipment to do that...

But, if I have to, I'll do it on guts alone!
