Good morning all,

Newbie to posting on this site but I have been lurking for a while now.   I have several N64 cart scans and a half dozen game manuals I would like to upload.  What specifics do I need to follow in scanning, sizing, and where to upload?

Thanks

BAH

Requirements/Rules for the manuals:

I cant say I've done any NDS manuals but the dimensions we defacto use for N64 are ...

1. Manual is scanned at 300dpi
2. Pages cropped then resized to 1024 x xxx [where xxx is height and determined auto by the width]
3. Color correct as necessary
4. I use Acrobat to then create the pdf.

They usually end up at 6 - 20mb's in size. If you have issues creating pdfs then do steps 1-3 and upload as raw scans and someone will collate it for you.

Cheers.....

Upload the finished things here:

Tik tec tac,

Thanks for the reply.  I did upload one manual and several cart scans but now they are in the uploads base directory.  I do not see the manual.

I'll see if I can get someone to organize your uploads....

As for the manual I'm not sure if it's soooo easy to upload it to the site as a raw scan.... How big was it?
I once heard the server has slight problems handling files over 6 or so MB in size....

But anyways! Thanks for the contribution...

When scanning a cart label .... just scan it at 300dpi and submit it ..... but leave space around the outside and I'll crop it to make it consistent with the ones we have already.

Cheers .......  ;D

Thanks guys.

Valeman,  I will leave a little around the edges for you ;D.  Actually, I was trying to clean them up a little so you did not have so much to do.

The manual was DN Zero Hour and was about 8 mb.  I got the message that the upload was completed.

Unfortunately, I do not have many boxes.  I also do not have access to a good graphics program so the scans I can do will not be cleaned up and many may be just place holders until someone gets something better.
