How do you appraise the value of games, consoles, or other accessories?

How do you all go about determining the value of a game?
I am not too sure how to go about it and I don’t think there is a definite guide for something like this. Most of the time I get an idea of the current asking value from ebay.com but that is simply a ballpark at best and maybe posted higher than a good and honest appraisal value.
For me value increases with original box in good standing order, the manual is without writing, and if the manual has a warranty registration age it was not filled out or cut out. Also the label on the game is in good standing and is not peeling off.
I am also posting this because I have a chance to buy Sega Saturn Lunar game in excellent condition with manual and the original case without damage or cracks. The asking cost is $64.79 USD.

There's a great app for iPhone/iPod Touch called VGT Video Game Price Guide. It's not totally free, but it's an extremely comprehensive list of video games from all consoles, and are listed with two average values, one value is the average online selling price of the game complete with box, and generally like-new-ish condition. The second price the average going value of a used, loose copy of the game. The two prices usually give you a pretty good ballpark estimate. When I go into a thrift store or something and find old games, I usually pull that app out and check the going prices to see if I can't make some profit by re-selling it. :P

If you don't have an iDevice, I'm pretty sure the VGT website has all that information available online.

With regards to Saturn Lunar, the price seems a little extreme. It was quite a few years ago that I picked up my own copy but it couldn't have been more then 10-15 dollars at that time. I cannot imagine the value would jump all that high on an american market being an rpg with a heavy japanese requirement.

Anyone know the value of a NEW sealed copy or a non-platinum hits version of "THE ELDER SCROLLS III: MORROWIND Game Of The Year Edition" for Xbox? Bought it for 10$ at Goodwill and i can only find 2 others for sale on line, one for 150$ the other for 300$.

At the moment, I'd say it's not rare enough to be worth much.
But maybe in 10+ years it can be.
