Oooh nice, wish that would be in printable format.

Maybe I'll try to do that someday.

I have decided to make a Golden Axe 3 manual. Using scans of the Japanese manual.  Completed the first few pages so far.

Awesome! Because it was driving me crazy.  I hope you have more luck with it than I did.  I think my problem was I tried basing it too much on the Japanese manual and the scan I have of it isn't the best, so parts like the map look really shitty.  If you need the manual template you can grab it from my sig.  It should make things a little easier.

Been plannng on buying the game but haven't bothered yet.
I think having English manual would be the thing to push me to do it.

I not sure what to do with pages 3- 4, its going to be very hard 2 keep the map in the back ground.

As for the map on page 25 -26, I might just put the translated text under the game screen pics.

I also used your art scan for the cover.

I ll post a sample when i get home.

Also what pages do you have completed, maybe we could combine, and cut the work load in half?

Are you using the scans from Death Adder's Castle?

I didn't get that much done.  The Japanese manual scan I had was shit quality, I think it came from replacement docs or somewhere and wasn't really meant for printing.  I spent a lot of time trying to salvage some of the artwork and clean it up, but it was pretty hopeless, so I just gave up on it.  I was going to make a brand new manual from scratch, but you beat me to it.  What I can send you though is the cover page which I did in the red stripe style to match my covers (it's even got an ad for the localized Alien Soldier on the back, just like how old Genesis games used to), I can also covert it to the blue bubble MD style so you can have alternate covers for your manual.

Also, your manual is looking great so far, you got that prologue/contents page looking a lot better than I ever did.

I'd suggest 2 tiny corrections to the front.

1: I think the death Adder will be partially on the front when the manual is folded so move the image 2 (or 1.5) squares to the left.
2: The front logo text is too dimm, so please brighten it a bit. Maybe even the whole image?

I measured a real genesis manual, and adjusted the scans to match (Some of the scans where crooked),  maybe I goofed somewhere. what should the dimensions be?

Also I hitting some snaggs, the translation guide i am using is missing page 8 & 9, so I am having to translate it myself.  There are two things on page eight that i am unsure about, and cant find them in the book I have.

The sentence ether reads:

The controller pictured is a traditional controller.

or

The traditional controller is compatible.

I think the death Adder is ok, it might be the boxes making a optical illusion, I would have to do a test fold make sure.

It would be super easy to brighten the text, and the words Instruction Manual should be lowered so that they dont intersect with the horizontal lines of the boxing pattern.
