Oh I recommend the game for sure. It's like a weird cross between Mega Man, Metroid, and Contra.

This is very true and exactly the reason it was a must have for a repro

It's funny how similar our covers are. I actually made mine back in July, along with a GBA version, just never posted it.

Well... the front image is the official Japanese SMB2 art as far as know. ;)

Other info about my cover:
shenske's cover used as raws, with satoshi_matrix's back text.
Complilation and screenshot fixing by me. :P

Yeah I know that's the disk cover, but the screenshot and text placement, white background. I tried to make my front look like the art on the game select screen in Super Mario All-Stars.

The back is designed after SMB3, as you may notice from the UPC which I forgot to delete or change the numbers.

Metal Force isn't a pirate - its a unlicensed game released only in South Korea.

I'm pretty sure Metal Storm was a US release also?  I'm not 100% sure on that, but I'm pretty sure my buddy has a copy of the cart, and I doubt (due to his lack of knowledge) it was a repro.  Here is a link to the game (below):

http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/profile.php?id=129

I've never actually played Metal Storm.  I'm guessing it must be rare?  Maybe I should orchestrate a trade with my buddy.  ;) hahaha.

Also, great work on those SMB2j covers.

I know a lot of the SMB2j repro's out there have a sort of "black-box" style looking artwork also (as seen below):

So you say that Metal Force and Metal Storm are the same game?

Quick search in Google would suggest thatthey are two different games:

Metal Force is Korean pirate game.
Metal Storm is Licenced US game.

Oh, hadn't seen that one before.
I've only seen copies with the image we used in the cover.
