I'm with Mr. Chad on this one.

I want my GameGear games lined up right next to my genesis ones. If I have the box I'll just put it inside of the genesis shell, if I don't then I'm fine with super gluing a GameGear clear plastic cart shell on the inside of the genesis case. I like how the dimensions don't need to be changed very much from the original box to the genesis & ugc cases.

Um, Sonic..?  You made DS covers for all Sonic-related GG games?  Mediafire please!!!!!!

Eeeeehhhhhh, yeah, I did. But, you might not really want to use them. The only things I concerned myself with the covers were the fronts and the spines. The backs usually don't have anything besides a picture and the logo. Most of them have no info whatsoever, and if it does, it's a simple rectangular copy-paste of the original back of the box. This is why I never posted them to the forums.

If you're still interested, though, I'd be more than happy to put them up on my Mediafire account for ya. For me, it was better than naked DS cases for all of my Sonic games. Sonic IS the only franchise I bothered to collect every game for, so I figured they at least deserved temporary covers until I had time to put more effort into it. (Which wouldn't be for years. College is a hassle, so don't wait around for me to update them. If you want something to dress naked cases in, mine will work, but I wouldn't suggest them for a final product.)

EDIT: I went ahead and uploaded every Game Gear cover I've made, some of them better than others. Also, I just realized I couldn't find a good enough picture of Tails' Adventure, so I created a fake one from high-res art. Like I said, these should be used as empty case dressers, not final products. Game Gear covers in the folder on my Mediafire account are as follows:

- Columns (which is actually for holding my Super Columns game, I think.)
- Cool Spot
- Sonic 1
- Sonic 2
- Sonic Chaos
- Sonic & Tails (The Japanese version of Sonic Chaos.)
- Sonic Blast
- Sonic Drift (Japan only)
- Sonic Drift 2
- Sonic Labyrinth
- Sonic Spinball
- Sonic Triple Trouble (Using the EU version of the logo. I couldn't find a US version of the TT logo. :-\ )
- Tails' Adventure
- Tails' Skypatrol (Japan only)
- Space Invaders (Also, I think holding my Super Space Invaders)
- Cheese Cat-Astrophe with Speedy Gonzales
- Taz in Escape from Mars

That's all in my Mediafire account waiting for ya. ;)

EDIT AGAIN: I just remembered, the spines of all the Sonic games have a different image of Sonic decorating the Sega logo at the bottom. I just did this for fun. If you want to edit him out, it would be VERY easy using the GG template on the forums. :P

I'll preface this by saying that in no way is this post meant to seem pushy or impatient.  I fear that an inability to convey tone in this post will make my message seem like "Well, where are they?," but having said that, I'm curious if the site will be able to host Bad Chad's covers.  If it won't happen, no big deal, I'll just keep trying my hand at improving my photoshop skills to the point that I can make covers look that good.  But I'll admit that I've been chomping at the bit to print off the Sonic covers since they were posted a few weeks back :)

This scares me. I don't want the site turning to Pay-Per-Cover place.

Nooooo.  I mean I will buy game boxes with my own money.  As in go to my local stores, ebay, amazon, ect., just so I can scan them.  I'm just asking so I don't waste my money on boxes that will never get made into UGCs

Well If you guys can post up box scans, Id be happy to put them together. Id probably concentrate more on covers I need first (because theres alot of bad game gear games out there) but I can always thow together covers to help you guys aswell.

If you want to know what Im looking for that I would make priority to put together, heres a list of GG games I need scans for:

- Jurrasic Park
- Shining Force - Sword of Hayia (just for a higher quality cover)
- Shinobi 1 & 2
- Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2
- Sonic Drift 2
- Streets of Rage 2
- Vampire - Master of Darkness
- Virtua Fighter Animation
- X-Men - Gamemasters Legacy

I picked up boxed copies of Sonic Chaos and Ristar the other day, so I figured I'd scan and share.

Ristar:

I scanned my copy of Sonic Chaos, but I don't think it turned out very well, plus there's already a cover for it, so I didn't upload it. I still can though, if requested.

I really like the idea of putting Game Gear games into UGC/clamshells, and if I understand correctly the sentiment here is to have them all in the purple spine template to go along with the Genesis and 32x style boxes. Well that got me thinking. The Sonic 1 and 2 covers were made before the purple spine template was introduced, and even if one were to come by a Sonic 1 or 2 box, I think trying to convert a scan of those to the new template would be rather ugly.

However, somewhere (hopefully on the internet) the original art for the covers exists, and if found could easily make the transition. I managed to run across these two images (the best I could find), which I believe came from the Sonic Gems Collection.

Obviously these particular files would make piss poor covers, but could possibly be a decent holdover until better quality images are found.

Here are some UGC Size Game Gear requests.  Please keep them retail - old-school game gear games do not use the purple template. Castle of Illusion uses neither, it is unique.

Doing a Game Gear cover made me remember when I used to pump out those 32X covers.  :D Maybe I should pick that back up.
