| Strange ways to store games |

Back before I discovered the cover project my video game collection was a mess with games showing up in the weirdest places. Some were in a shoe box, some were under my bed, crammed in drawers, I even found some games in the kitchen cupboard one time. Thankfully, now I actually have a decent size shelf to showcase all my games. But the thing that always bothered me was that all the small media boxes like DS cases, GBA boxes, jewel cases. or double-wide jewel cases just seem to take up a lot of space that was wasted and I hated to double stack them because I found that to be inconvenient to actually take out and play it. I recently discovered a cheap and unconventional way to store smaller media games. I just use dvd-racks or cd-racks, and for the actual shelving I just use DVDs or CDs and I think it looks pretty cool. I guess this is a more cost-effective way to store your ds games without spending all your money on more shelving space. That handheld game rack is not stupid idea at all. Well as I'm short on space, my games can be found in boxes, on top of my TV, under my bed, in my sock draver, above my computer, behind my computer... |

I've seen people put Genesis games in cassette tape racks. I used to stuff all my games in my top dresser drawer. I'd even split the dual disc games into two separate jewel cases as well as alphabetizing them. I'd often just shove all my games into a backpack rather than using a CD binder to bring to my friends' houses. If you've seen my game room thread, you know that now I like to keep everything sorted in one place and cased. My loose portable games are (somewhat) organized in my bottom shelf, and my N64 carts are in a line on the top. If I still had my PS1 games in jewel cases I'd probably take up that DVD rack idea of yours. I have that same exact rack :) |
