Wow! Kind of a downer that they are so much wider than a DVD case, but really I don't mind. These cases look awesome. I really hope these cases become the standard for jew cases on this website from now on. I never liked that thought of taking games that were originally in jewel cases and putting them into DVDs. It just felt wrong.  :)

Haha, you said jew cases. :D

Just a thought, and im not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but these might be good for GB and GBC game packs. Just slide them into the place were the CD goes and print a cover and done!

The GBC covers on the site are designed for DS cases though.

I wonder if our DS art might scale well enough to work though... Someone should experiment with that.

Shenske, you say you'll put the manual in one of the sleeves, my concern is ive come across games with manuals at least 1cm thick, and im doubting the sleeves can hold something that thick? what ya reckon.

BTW, im from down under, and im looking at doing this, myself, again after a failed attempt a year and a half ago due to lack of suppliers. Ive got a different brand that supplies, 1,2,4,6,8,12 disk cases, ive got some 6,8,12 samples but havent measured them up yet. Gona order some 4 disk ones and see if there a lil bit smaller and closer to the original cases ps1 games came in. If they are ill be working on a Pal template for this project, for us retail pal case fiends.

What he said. Seriously.

Yeah, the Alundra manual comes to mind. Do you have that game, Shenske? It came in one of those 4-disc jewel cases specifically because the manual was too thick to fit into a regular jewel case. (That, and it's a JRPG. I don't know why so many PS1 JRPGs felt the need to have those double-sized cases when they just had one disc. >:( )

If it's too thick just put it in the back behind the sleeves. There's a lip around the edges, so it shouldn't fall out.

NOPE, SEE:
Here are some pics (finally) i took with my iphone show the rough size of the cases.

All of these pictures are the 8disc poly case lined up next to a standard size DVD case.  As you can see the spine is almost the same size but the case is much wider than a standard dvd case when looking at the front of the case.  Like i've said before, one of the many reasons why i love the case is the fact that the cd case instructuion booklet can be placed in one of the sleeves  :)

I decided to take out the jewel case artwork for a few of my games to give myself an idea of what the covers will look like when i have them printed out.  The bottom left picture show the case size compared to a NDS case. As you can see the case is a bit bigger on both the height and the width ... so it is not a suitable replacement for the NDS cases.
The bottom right picture show the case in reference to a NES cart.  Before some people start asking the same questions over and over ... no the 8-disc poly case can not fit an nes cart but the wider spine 24 disc version should have no problem fitting the cart. I do not think these type cases are the best choice for housing NES games as the dimensions are not even close to the original NES box dimensions (all covers would have to be very custom to even come close to fitting).  If you are able to get UGCs for your NES games ... DO IT!! They are far far better.

Dude, we know that the cases are bigger than DS games. We're asking about scaling, not just slapping them in there.

By the way, Ektophase, your tempate is LITERALLY just as I imagined it. It's like you took the ideal image right out of my head. GREAT job!!! This will definitely be my main method of storing my TG16/CD games from now on.

@Everyone

If you are able to get DS cases to house your GB, GBC & GBA games then do it! Don't mess around with these cases unlesss there is no other way to get the DS cases. If you live in the US then just get some DS cases from nintendo's shop.

I understand but they might be good replacements if you do not want to cut the DS case, i have around 35 GB and GBC games and i rather scale covers to a larger size than cut the ds cases, is there a template for the size? Even if the GB and GBC does not catch on, I would still like to use it. Most of the games i got do not have covers on the site. i have a few PS1 games ill make so im at least being helpful covers of including:
Interactive CD Sampler disc vol. 9, Castlevaina Symphony of the night, Twisted Metal 4, MDK, Crash Team Racing, Asteroids, Speed Punks, ANIMANIACS 10 pin alley STAR WAS Ep 1.
