I just started using Geektools on the Mac, which I guess is similar to Rainmeter on the PC. I actually try to actively sort my files off my desktop, so I'm not hiding my clutter with Deskshade or anything (Spotlight search is a magical feature). This is still a WIP, seeing as I've only been tinkering for a few hours. My knowledge of UNIX is very limited at the moment.

Is anyone else into desktop customization? I'm curious if I'm the only one.

I've been looking into Rainmemter...but I'm still not sure if I should go with it.  I do use rocket dock on windows 7 and windows xp.  It works fairly well.  I use it mainly to keep my desktop clean.

Screwed around for a bit, I think this came out much better than before, though I need to put active programs back in somehow. Caught a few processes that were eating up a large percentage of my CPU when they shouldn't have. Adium contact list is still meh as well, working on that.
