So Dragon Quest VI just came out and I snagged my copy today. I had seen pictures of the new boxart online and I was hoping it was some kind of placeholder image. It wasn't. The game's predecessors, Dragon Quest IV and Dragon Quest V, followed a certain theme to their covers. The three games are a part of a trilogy so it makes sense that they all have a common style. Unfortunately, Dragon Quest VI's cover design was completely modified to match the more recent Dragon Quest IX. This frustrates me because the T is just a T and not a sword and the spine art is a stark contrast to the other two games'. Is anyone else frustrated by this and can anyone give me some tips on creating a new cover design to match the other two? I hate it when this sort of thing happens with games. |

...that is weird...looks like the Jap version is the same old style...wonder why they changed it (on a side note, i think this is the most i have posted in a month or more. Hooray for things I am personally interested in and have opinions about!) |

Well, they changed Dragon Quest VI's cover to match the style of IX. Sacrificing consistency in the trilogy for consistency between the latest releases doesn't really make sense to me. |
