Lumberjack42 sighting

About a week or so ago I logged on and noticed Lumberjack42 was online. I don't know why, but it kind of shocked me a little. He was already gone by the time I came here and I guess in my mind, he was just a one time major contributor (his work is top notch) to the site who has moved on. I never really thought about if he ever comes back here on occasion or not. But by coming here every once in a while, it tells me he still likes or has some interest in the site. Now he doesn't know me from Adam, but don't any of you "old-timers" know him well enough to drop him a line and let him know he's missed and we will always be patiently awaiting the day he returns? Yeah, he probably already  knows he's welcome here anytime, but it doesn't hurt to remind him now and then that he's still part of "The Cover Project" family. Who knows, he might have the latest version of Photoshop on a brand  new killer computer that he's just itchin' to use but is hesitant to to make the first move.

I knew him the wohle time he has been here but as you said I suppose he moved on. He is online from time to time but not active anymore. It's the same with some other older old-timers .

He knows for sure that he can come back anytime but I doubt he wants to.

I had the Hard Drive that contained all of the covers, templates and raws die on me this week before I could back the data up. So I may be out of the game for good now. I just wanted to stop by and leave a note for all you to know I had a great time working on this project and hope against hope this Data Recovery place can recover all my work and I can come back.

Why does he need his raws and templates to come back? I never quite understood that. I'm sure several of us have had to start from scratch.

I think it was this: I had the Hard Drive that contained all of the covers, combined with what us the Finns call "vitutus" of losing all the stuff, that made him give up.

A hard-hit like that can totally strip someones motivation to continue, especially considering the quality of his work. I know if I lost everything I have right now, it would probably do some serious damage to my motivation to continue.

I wonder if hes still got games that he can scan in that we might need for the site. It would be cool if he could contribute scans for anyhting that he might not of finished we could put together.

any newer Zelda games will look funny on my shelf next to his matching set....I was hoping he would do the same layout/design for the older Nes & SNES ones too.

Yeah, I've been kinda lurking for a while, life just kinda took over after the great crash. I appreciate the love, it reminds me why I joined in the first place. I'll be slowly working my way back in over the next month. It won't be as frequent as before but I'm itching to get back into it.
